Rude, hung up on me in middle of conversation, and was referred by his own brother. Basically inconsiderate, thoughtless, couldnt find time time. There are more respectful attorney's out there he is NOT one to reccomend.

Richard's information was passed on to my wife from a couple of friends and cyclists in the San Diego area. I was in the hospital after being involved in a serious cycling accident, and neither my wife nor I had any idea what to do next. We all met shortly after I was released from the hospital and well enough to get around. The first thing that I noticed about Richard was that he seemed to be genuinely concerned about my health and well being, and all around just a really nice and caring guy. Secondly, Richard walked me through what was ahead, what we needed to do/not to do, and set realistic expectations. Richard immediately help put us at ease as he is a cycling enthusiast himself, and seemed to be very competent with the law as it applies to accidents with cyclists. I believe with Richards knowledge and expertise we were able to come to a fair settlement before going to court. The results that Richard was able to get exceeded my expectations. EXCELLENT attorney, you can't go wrong with him. Nobody likes to pay an attorney who just wants your money, and you get no help at all. With Mr. Duquette you will not experience that he will take care of you and represent you in court We had the pleasure to meet Mr. Duquette since 2013 to help my husband. Last time even the judge said something like: " It's unusual to grant this, but this time i will". Total blessing I strongly recommend Mr. Duquette, I’ve never known another attorney more prepared and focused. He has the ability to dissect a case much like a skilled surgeon. Mr. Duquette has published an article on his website that betrays his limited understanding of the California Vehicle Code, specifically CVC 21202(a) and the exceptions contained therein. I would not hire a bicycle attorney who actively purports an opinion contrary to the truth of the rights cyclists are supposed to enjoy in the state of California. He promotes unsafe practices for cyclists and perpetuates a motorist-centric viewpoint, all while claiming to represent cyclists. Specifically, he insists cyclists ride on the edge of a narrow lane (a specific condition in the CVC when a cyclist is NOT required to ride to the right). He puts forth the notion that, somehow, riding on the edge is a protection against a rear-end collision from a distracted driver. There is no protection against a distracted driver that can be provided by hugging the edge of the lane.

I have had Richard represent me on two separate occasions. He is very meticulous and detail oriented on the exacts of the process in order to be successful. What I like about Richard is that he kept me very comfortable during the process and was aggressive to get results that were beyond my expectations. Thank you, Richard
