I was recommended to Jon by a friend in seek of a lawyer who could help me establish my business partnership. It was very important for me to be represented by someone who understood the tone of terms I was looking to create in the contract. I wanted to be represented well and also keep a peaceful negotiation between my future business partner and I. Jon was amazing in hearing my concerns and providing the right steps, guidance and legal stance for me to move forward confidently and propose my terms for the business partnership. He found a lot of loop holes in our partnership agreement that would have greatly worked against me and was able to provide the solution. He explained to me how everything works so that I could understand for myself and was empowered in my position. My case was a must win and a longshot. Prior to retaining Mr. Parsons I had filed and dismissed a wrongful termination suit against the Town of Atherton twice, using a different lawyer. I have both used and recommended Jon Parsons for a number of business legal matters, and I have never been disappointed in the results. He is straightforward about what he knows and what he doesn't know, he is completely trustworthy, responds quickly, and does very good work. His firm (by choice) is small, so if you need the resources and reach of a major Silicon Valley law firm, that's another matter. But if what you need is good, solid, honest lawyering, you'll do well here.

I initially went to Jon with some personnel questions, which he answered directly and pragmatically. After I formed my company, I have relied on Jon to help me write contracts and for general advice. He is pragmatic and efficient, and very responsive. Jon clearly has the best interests of the client in mind. I was referred in 2004. I have been consistently well served and have often had occasion to reflect on my good fortune to have encountered Jon Parsons. I expect to retain him until he retires. My experience is that my best interests are well understood and congruent with his standard of practice. I am impressed by his apt and deftly accurate assessment of the character and nature of any adversary or opponent I may have had to encounter. He is a solid negotiator possessing a nimble intellect that seems to me both uncompromisingly ethical and effective. It is atypical to find someone of his intelligence who is absent the usually commensurate hubris; a common limitation within his trade. Historically I have rarely been left with an overall sense of satisfaction in my experiences with lawyers. Conversely I find that I am completely satisfied with my experience here and am pleased to offer reference to that effect as I am confident that he is an exceedingly exemplary talent in the field.

Mr Parsons was hired by our nonprofit organization for what we, and he, thought would be a rather simple case involving alleged trademark and copyright infringement. Although the case soon became very complex, ultimately lasting for many years and taking an enormous amount of his time and energy, Mr Parsons never flagged in his interest, willingness and commitment to our cause. In the years since that case was closed, he has continued to serve us in a general counsel role, advising us on a variety of corporate matters. In my experience in working with him over the past 18 years, I have found Mr Parsons to be a man of high moral standards, great intelligence, tenacity and common sense.
