Ted Luymes completely changed they way I am looking at lawyers and legal handlings today. He is just fantastic. The communication with Ted is very uncomplicated, fast, caring. He is very responsive and knowledgeable. We had problems with our former landlord and Ted solved the problem quickly, professional and without making it more complicated or dragging the issue any further then it had to be. He explained in our first meeting the steps he would recommend to take and different possible outcomes and the suiting strategies that could follow. He was always very transparent in his actions, explained easily the necessary legal procedures and delivered what he laid out in the very beginning. Thanks to Ted, we ended up settling a lawsuit from a very aggressive plaintiff without paying a penny. My Japanese employer (based in Tokyo, Japan), was sued by an aggressive American lawyer in California claiming we allegedly infringed his client's copyright. I found Ted through a friend of mine in California who works for a major movie studio. Ted and I discussed the matter through Skype (between Tokyo and Pasadena). He is a great listener and always tries to explain points in layman's terms. After one year of painstaking moments, the plaintiff finally gave up and walked away. Ted's patience never stretches thin. He is always calm and even tries his best to comfort you (giving you an emotional support you need). He has the right temperament and emotional intelligence as an attorney with long experience in California's court systems and judges. He is a perfect lawyer for small to medium businesses or individuals in California. Most importantly, Ted's fees are reasonable and invoices are as detailed as they can possibly be.

I contacted him about an amazon suspended account, he asked for all exchanged communication with them, which I sent, informing him that he will have to do some reading. He was prompt, courteous & stated within about 20 min that he didn’t think he could do much & that chances to regain the account would be under 10% & cost $5,000 upfront. it was probably meant to deter me. I am not sure if he checked all the exchange we sent but I appreciate being told this from the start, as another lawyer wanted me to sign a retainer and send a payment without going through my communication with amazon. But I appreciated less his clear irritation after we sent the emails he had asked for, stating his inbox was clogged. Well...you’re an attorney...your inbox is clogged by 10 messages that don't contain attachments ? Really ?

Ted gave me a pathway to refiling my appeals with Amazon. He was very detailed when he reviewed my previous appeals and told what needed to change in order to get the desired outcome.
