After interviewing multiple attorneys for an estate matter, I decided to move forward with Dilair and I couldn’t be more pleased with that decision. I spoke to Dilair on the phone. We set up a consult meeting after he asked me many questions. At the meeting, he came in tennis shoes and a hoodie. He took a 16 minute personal call in the middle of our meeting. I asked a legal question about my issue. He said there was no such thing and then to my surprise said,”I am not going to discuss this further with you. Go hire the people who told you that. “ When I asked him if he was sure because a lawyer had told me that and it changed the grounds for me getting a lawyer to begin with. He repeated the same thing, “I’m not discussing or explaining this. Go hire the people who told you that.”Then he charged me for the free consultation after I told him I would get back to him the next day, after telling me if he got the job tomorrow with another client he wasn’t going to take mine. He said,” I either need my retainer right now or you need to pay me for my time.” I was intimidated, so I paid him. I was by myself. He asked me as I left why I didn’t retain him. He seemed detailed and motivated initially and confused why I wasn’t retaining him then and there. Perhaps with some time and experience he will develop his people skills.

In October, 2016, I was forced to seek legal counsel in CA for a “breach of fiduciary responsibility” regarding an Irrevocable Trust. The issue was against step-family who were managing my Mother’s lodge property and had been for 9 years. Per advisement with Attorneys in WA State, I was referred to the Law Offices of Christopher B. Johnson in Pasadena, CA. All by phone conference, his suggestion was that I work with his associate, Attorney Dilair Nafoosi who handled Probate & Trust cases. I said that I wanted nothing other than, ‘an honest pit-bull’ on my side and henceforth, my interview with Mr. Nafoosi began for almost 1.5 hrs. Wow…I was so impressed and so at peace! To begin this lawsuit, sight unseen, I knew that I was working with the right team. It’s been a tough endeavor. With all the financial discovery I went into ninja mode and in about 5 weeks, I put together numerous categories of spread sheets totaling 9 years of business transactions, all while caregiving my Mother in WA. Because I wasn’t a co-trustee of the business, I did not have access to the daily books. 2 months later in 2017, the co-trustee was suspended in court within 15 minutes! Unheard of. Our petition was so involved and precise, the Judge immediately understood what the issues were. Moving forward and throughout 2017, 2 co-trustees were suspended. 4 Unlawful Detainers and evictions were fulfilled with Sheriff escorts. I took possession of the lodge and the same day of listing; the buyers came through. I had 2 offers within 3 weeks and then a ‘huge cloud’ on the Title Deed was discovered. If it wasn’t for that 3-month involvement, expertise with knowledge about the law, forthright efforts with a signed Court Order, Mr. Nafoosi’s relentless explanation why another order was not necessary to insure Title with 3 opposing Attorneys, escrow was closed in 3 days! I also believe that when prayer is brought before each hearing and we were totally in agreement, that the hearings went in my favor at every stage. What has impressed me most is Mr. Nafoosi’s unfailing diligence with respectful, yet forthright communication, every step of the way. I knew exactly what was presented before the Courts without fail, with constant and immediate follow-up, along with his firm understanding about the law and his belief in my case to see it to the end, I have been given legal favor. Dillair represented me as trustee of my grandmother's trust when my brother tried to get me removed. After getting nowhere for a year with a prior attorney. Dilair got my brother off the trust and cleared my name from the allegations against me. I highly recommend Dilair for any legal work.
