. Robert Cummings is a nice guy, but unfortunately the nice guy thing doesn't win court cases.. I was so disappointed with his representation. I just had a strong sense he was not out for my best interest. It seemed his primary focus was to make new friends and be accepted by his peers in the Santa Clara County Courts. I had to actually do my own research and bring up points just as a subtle way of letting him know that I know what my possibilities are. For instance, when I told him I would have to have knowledge of possessing narcotics to be guilty of possessing them. In which he agreed, but made no impact what so ever. I even brought in character reference letters from well respected and successful business associates and didn't make any bit of difference. When it finally came down to my plea I was in the dark because he did not inform me of what seemed to be half of the requirements and accusations. I felt pressured to agree and go with what they were proposing. Three different occasions the judge had to skip and come back to me because it was the first I had heard of the plea question. Sadly I walked away shattered, and disappointed. I felt like I got played by the system. That was the worse 5k investment ever.. Thankfully for an attorney by the name of Dennis Lempert. I hired him to withdraw my plea. It was during the process of attorney replacement that my suspicions of Robert not out for my best interest were confirmed. HE HAD NOT EVEN OPENED MY DISCOVERY PACKAGE.. So again, thankfully for Dennis Lempert, not only was he able to withdraw my plea, but was able to resolve my case with it resulting a difference as night and day.. Now at least I just feel violated by the system, and not raped by my attorney.. Personally I think Robert is just too much of a nice guy that would rather just avoid any type of confrontation. He would make great friend material but the attorney thing is not his cup of tea.. For my case anyway...

Robert was just the man attorney we needed at the time. My wife and I had an argument and a nosy neighbor overheard it and called the police. She was charged with a Felony DV. Now, I am over 6 feet tall and over 300 lbs. My wife is 5'2" and barely over 100 lbs. I can handle myself. However, due to an overreaching law, the police had to arrest someone and made the determination that she was the aggressor. To make a long story short, Robert, being a former DA who worked in the DV unit not only knew the law, but also knew the key players in the DA's office. Through his years of experience prosecuting DVs and his knowledge of how the DA's office works he was able to get the DA not even press charges in the case. Case Dismissed. Currently he is trying to get the arrest record sealed. If you want an attorney with experience, skill, and inside knowledge who can get get results Robert Cummings is your man.

I thought I was headed to prison. I had an ugly break up with my girlfriend and she accused me of domestic violence. The first time I went with a public defender and got eight months in county jail. After I got out, she trumped up a bunch more charges. I met Rob. He kept me out of custody, got $5,000 bucks knocked off of a restitution order, got my case dismissed, helped me get a restraining order against my psycho ex-girlfriend and got me off of felony probation. This guy is completely full service!!!
