I just wanted to take a moment to share my bankruptcy experience. It took me almost a year to finally decide to move forward with this process and the stress levels were very high, until I walked into Chris Hewitts office. Chris made me welcome and comfortable right from the start and made me realize I was not cheating or doing anything to be ashamed of. Through the entire process Chris and his team were upfront about expectations and were so very professional at every turn. Everything about the process went exactly as I was told it would up to and including the day I got the final charge off papers. I must say I am not a huge fan of lawyers but at no time did this ever feel like that. I dont usually leave reviews but beleive hard work deserves to be rewarded. Chris and his team are very responsive almost always answering the phone on the first try and when they are unable to answer they mesage to let you know that they have received your correspondence and they will get back to you as soon as posible. They are always willing to take the time to explain the things I do not understand which means alot during this stressful time always being forth coming about the situation but also being willing to put in the extra effort to try to better my situation I really appreciate all the hard work and dedication. This was a hard decision to make however when I spoke to Chris Hewitt he set my mind at ease with his sweet and friendly demeanor. I felt like I was talking to my brother. He made me feel as if it was all going to be ok. And it was! Just as he said, he went above and beyond to make this humiliating process not so humiliating. He even came to our home in a rain storm to start the process. He treated my husband and I with respect and empathy for what we were about to do. I interviewed another attorney a few months before I found Chris and I felt like just one of the sheep going to slaughter. I highly recomend Chris's firm, the associates were just like he was. Chris assisted me with a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, which saved my home, and my sanity. I was facing homelessness because of erroneous financial burdens being placed on me by the HOA that I reside in. Whereas I initially was going to surrender with a Chapter 7, Chris took time to educate me on the best way to settle this situation and settle my debts. He was always trustworthy, dependable and available. I love that I could email him often and he would respond quickly and/or follow up with a personal call in the evening when I was off work and could really speak with him. There were so many challenges from this HOA, but Chris was with me every step of the way with solutions. I appreciate his patience with me. I had so many questions and the situation would make me so anxious. Chris remained solution focused, he would do way more then I paid him to do. I appreciate that he did whatever it took to complete the tasks, keeping in mind my financial situation. As a single parent with just one income and 4 kids, this meant a lot to my household.
