Richard represented my daughter in a case. He worked diligently to have her felony reduced to a misdemeanor, which was no easy feat. He has a great understanding of the law and was extremely helpful with informing her on how to get on the right path to recovery. I would highly recommend him!

This guy used to be a prosecutor. He is very good at helping defendants prove themselves over the course of time patterns of behavior that a public defender just can't offer. His drawback for me was that he was so busy and we had conflicting schedules, so it was difficult to maintain communication. Otherwise, he's an outstanding lawyer. Very good reputation in court from what I gather.

I was represented by Mr. Chan for my case at the beginning of 2023. From the first meeting to the resolution, Mr. Chan was very knowledge, straightforward and understanding of my situation and truly cared about the outcome of my case. I went to multiple criminal defense attorneys before I hired him, and he is the only one who didn't judge me for my mistakes I made and treated me like a normal person. I would highly recommend him!!

Myself and my codefendant were charged with multiple felonies for suspected fraud crimes involving a car crash. (We committed NO crimes!) We were unsure of what to do when we got a letter from the police saying we had to be in court. After frantically searching for and calling ALL the lawyers in the Sacramento area we felt defeated. Everyone wanted at least 12 thousand dollars to take our case. It wasn't until we found Mr. Chan and spoke with him, that he agreed to help us for a fraction of the cost everyone else proposed to us. He took on our case and followed through with it until it was over. The end result of our case left us with no charges whatsoever and nothing on our records. We couldn't have asked for a better defense attorney than Mr. Chan, He represented my brother in two difficult felony cases, and thanks to his hard work and dedication, my brother was able to secure a great deal. From the very beginning, Mr. Chan represented my brother and got him out on zero bail (bail was set to 1 million). He explained what was happening and how we were going to fight the case. Unfortunately, my brother got into more trouble while out on bail for multiple felonies. Because of his background, he was able to communicate with the DA and tell me exactly what to expect. Richard Chan is great Criminal Defense Lawyers & DUI Attorneys. From our first meeting, he explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand and was always very responsive when I had questions outside of our meetings.
