ATTENTION MUST READ. I Hired Kaushik for my J-1 visa waiver case turned out to be one of the worst decisions I have ever made. My wife and I found a lawyer online who claimed to specialize in J-1 visas and had YouTube videos to back it up. We booked an appointment and I drove to his office in Sacramento. During the meeting, he assured me that my case had a 90% chance of being granted. However, before filing, he demanded that I pay the full amount, which was around $7,000. After I made the payment, he handed my case over to an amateur lawyer in Florida and disappeared. For three years, I called his office repeatedly, but they were extremely unprofessional and told me that the lawyer had two weeks to respond to my calls which he never did . I never heard from him again, and my case was eventually denied after three years. The lawyer did not have the courtesy to call me about my case, and I fell prey to a scam artist. This lawyer should be investigated for his unethical practices. It is unacceptable to take someone's money and throw their case away without any communication. I am extremely disappointed and pessimistic about the entire experience.

During our initial consultation, Mr. Kaushik was very receptive to our situation and suggested we have a good chance of getting the waiver approved. So, we worked with attorney Melissa Oklan, for my waiver application. She was really thorough and worked with us to apply in a timely manner. We are happy to have been represented by them for our waiver application and happy to share that it was approved. I would recommend expert consultation with Kaushik and go with his recommendations.

I was able to obtain my J1 persecution waiver for a Ukrainian national that received US Government Fulbright funding. I received a request for evidence because I initially filed the case without legal representation. After I received RFE I retained the Ranchod Law Group and they were able to demonstrate persecution based on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Everyone was very helpful. I was very please with everyone. Both My mother and I have done services with Ranchod and everytime has been very pleasant. Definitely will keep recommending.

ATTENTION THOSE WHO NEED IMMIGRATION STATUS LAWYERS/HELP: Honestly don’t come here. I came here a couple of years ago to get assistance on getting my FOIA + other important papers and they NEVER sent me my FOIA I paid over $500+ for. They actually sent me paperwork that costs less then $40 to get at other places instead of the expensive FOIA. When I confronted them years later (after finding a better quality lawyer) they lied to my face! They said they did sent my FOIA and that they didn’t know what I was talking about. They claimed to have made an investigation on to what happened to my important paperwork (FOIA,etc) and they ended up telling me that my caseworker had left this law firm a while ago and that they had shredded all my paperwork we had knowingly that they are supposed to keep it for at least 6-8 years or so. On top of that, this law firm has some of the rudest and dumbfounded staff I’ve ever had the grace of speaking to. They’re all talk, no action. You literally have to pull up to this place for them to get their stuff together and get real answers since they’re scared to tell you over the phone. Even all the times I have came here, all they do is go in circles. Embarrassing. Some of the female staff get attitude as soon as they hear you getting upset for asking WHY this or that or if something doesn’t make sense. I asked for a full refund for scamming me out of my FOIA papers and they said the best they could do was $200. A joke. Are you serious? Pure insanity. I ended up taking the $200 because that was my hard earned money I made only to just get scammed and lied to. So yeah, I recommend not coming here for immigration related stuff.
