I hired Mike Scafiddi to represent me in 2011 due to a criminal charge in San Bernardino County. He had the case dismissed! The State of California did not complete their procedures and never closed it out. 12 years later, I’m getting hired by a big company which completed a criminal background check. This issue arose that compromised my employment. The State of California removed the records surrounding this dismissed case that resulted in a major problem. Arrested for a DUI on Hospitality and Waterman in the City of San Bernardino on December 10th, 2015 the height of Holiday party celebration season. It was also shortly after the San Bernardino Holiday shootings, so I had several reservations as to if I was lawfully stopped, detained, arrested and charged. True, I admitted to the arresting officer I had been drinking but deep down felt that my rights where not being fully considered. I live in San Diego County and I was not familiar with attorneys in the Inland Empire, so perhaps like whomever may be reading this review I wanted to make sure I would select an Attorney who was not only competent and well versed in law but also someone with whom I felt I could trust to represent me to the best of his abilities. when I would be available for consultations, hearings and for any court dates. An advocate who would counsel me as to which appointments I should attend and which would not require my participation. Fortunately after reading several reviews and a conversation with three different law firms I selected Mr. Michael Scafiddi. It was a sound decision as not only my criminal charges reduced to a dry reckless but the Scafiddi Law firm went on to beat the charges by the DMV. To you the reader many details could be written but suffice it to say, Mr. Scafiddi was always willing to discuss my concerns and always promptly responded to my questions. Admittedly I am naive to the law and the court process- I was able to recall details but not aware as to what would be relevant or what would be superfluous. Mr. Scafiddi would enlighten me as to what the court would consider important and what details would be considered irrelevant. The process is long from start to finish but Michael Scafiddi went the distance and as recently as October 2017, both he and his daughter Megan from the San Diego office won judgement in protecting my rights against the DMV. Megan was privy to my driving record in San Diego County and was skilled in the details as they pertained to my overall driving record and the charges leveled by the DMV including the inaccuracies of those charges. Together the Scafiddi Law Firm was able to limit the DMV who was in error of their assessment of the facts, the Scafiddi team revealed several claims of the DMV to be false by thorough refutation and exhibits.
