Pros
1
Excellent legal expertise and strategy
“James was very clear and brilliant in his handling of the case, and got me a settlement which far exceeded my expectations and this was done much quicker then estimated.”
2
Responsive and available for client communication
“They did what I thought was impossible. Moreover, they were always available for questions. Always responsive.”
3
Dedicated and hardworking
“For 2 years, James and his team worked around the clock to see justice done for myself and many others included in this case.”
4
Deep understanding of the law
“You can tell that James cares deeply about his clients and the issues they face. It is clear that he has a deep understanding of the law, and he clearly communicates guidance based on that understanding in plain English.”
5
Successful in achieving favorable outcomes for clients
“James Taylor-Copeland was really responsive when I reached out with a time sensitive issue. He was responsive throughout his representation during the case and always updated me when we there were case developments. James really excelled in strategy--without his expertise, my case would have lasted a lot longer, and I wouldn't have been as successful in getting what I wanted out of this case.”
Cons
1
Unethical and collusive behavior in a case
“It is regrettable that the People of the State of California, state government officials, prosecutors, judges and jurors participating in an important civic function were unknowing participants in a breathtaking financial fraud. Zealous advocacy to represent a client is one thing. It is completely something else for an attorney to collude with his client in a multi-million dollar financial scam.”
2
Lack of family law expertise
“Michael Kirby represented my ex-wife in family law matters between 2017 and 2021. He was lead counsel on a "Set Aside" filing against our divorce agreement. One would assume that only a sophisticated family law attorney (a CFLS- certified family law specialist) would contemplate such an effort, not Michael Kirby- someone with virtually no family law knowledge or experience.”
