I was informed that we were (business) under investigation by the district attorney (insurance fraud division). We retained Laura and from the time that we hired her we were impressed by her professionalism and concern for our expense. She advised us in a way that saved us money where she easily could have billed us for unnecessary work. the outcome of the case was very favorable for us and If we are ever in need of a criminal attorney again she will be our first call.
Sincerely,
Very Satisfied Customer

I hired Laura to assist me with a federal white crime case the FBI brought against an employee. Laura has been extremely helpful and engaged with the case and I am very happy with her help. Even though it is a fairly straightforward case, the FBI agent appears to want to drag it out as much as possible. Laura has been very helpful in building the case against the defendant despite the lack of assistance we have received over the past 2.5 years. Laura has excellent people skills and knows when to choose our battles. She came through at just the right time when we saw the window of opportunity to make a great deal of progress in the case. Laura uses the right mix of legal expertise, persistence and patience to keep things on track. I completely recommend Laura without hesitation.

I was referred to my current lawyer by an attorney friend of my mother. I had some serious legal issues dating back from 2016. At that point I hired her on to represent me. Things were silent for a few years until this recent year 2019 when all my legal troubles came to light once again. I was looking at multiple felony charges with over 5 years behind bars. Thanks to my lawyers hard work and do diligence I only received 3 years probation. She doesn’t treat you like a “paycheck” she actually cares about you and you can see it in her work. I am so happy with my lawyer, I have hired her to now represent me with my current custody and child support issues. My brother has also hired her as his lawyer for his custody issues. Laura Marran is amazing and if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be where I am today. I recommend her to anyone who needs a lawyer and I promise you won’t be disappointed. She has become a part of our family and a true blessing. Thank you Laura.

I hired Ms. Marran because she was a former federal prosecutor. When she took my case, she was very skeptical about my innocence. She kept telling me to tell her the whole truth otherwise it would be difficult to defend me. I insisted that I made mistakes but nothing criminal. She started to review the case thoroughly and started to lose her skepticism and then was fully on board with my case. I for one welcomed this skepticism and approach and for anyone who is as frightened as I was when this happened to me I would say you need an attorney to be skeptical first and then be convinced. Think of your attorney as a member of the jury. If your attorney can go from skeptical to convinced then she should be able to convince a juror of the same. The other admirable quality of Ms. Marran is how thorough she is. I am not a doctor but I would say she is practically OCD, like that detective from MONK. If you are a white-collar defendant then this is extremely for you. The smallest of details can set you free. I cannot stress highly enough how incredible Ms. Marran was as my attorney.

I was referred to Laura Marran by an acquaintance of mine whom I dearly trust. My grandson was delivered court papers through the mail, and he only had two weeks to hire an attorney or use the court appointed one. My grandson is extremely important to me, he is just 19 as I am writing this, and he was facing 6 months, to 3 - 6 years in jail, or prison. It was 3 felony charges and 3 misdemeanors that had occurred while he was still a minor, and although this may have bode well for him, I didn't want to take any chances. I wanted the best. I spoke with Laura over the phone, who promptly returned my call within 35 minutes. I informed her of the circumstances, and she agreed to take the case, making an appointment for the very next day. We arrived at her office, and she was on schedule, courteous, kind, and so very approachable, which made all of the difference to my grandson. She was patient with him, encouraged him, and truly made the effort to understand what he had been through in his life, and what he was now facing. She wrote down everything for him that he needed to accomplish within the next 9 days. His trial was just 13 days away. She encouraged him to get his G.E.D., to go to all the classes that he needed to, and to get a job. This was a young man that had his entire future in front of him, and he made a few mistakes in his youth, and didn't have the guidance that he needed as he was growing up, and she cared about him. And he liked her, as did I, and still do. My grandson accomplished all that he needed to, and I owe this in part to Laura, because she made an impression on him, and she corresponded with him frequently to make sure he was doing his part to save himself, and she made him understand that he needed to do all of things that she asked him to do because it was for his freedom, his chance for a future, and because he deserved it. And his case never went to trial, because she was able to implore upon my grandson, and those who held his future in their hands, that he was deserving of a second chance, and my boy is free today because of her care and diligence, but mostly in part due to her expertise of the law, her impressive resume, how respected she is in her profession. and the community as well. And the case has been over with for 3 weeks now, and she is still helping my grandson. Sending via email, options for college, grants that are available to him, and I admire and respect her so deeply because she has gone above and beyond her duty. I will recommend her to everyone, and should you find yourself or a loved one in need of of an exceptional lawyer, you will not be disappointed.

I hired Ms. Marran to work with me on a complex federal witness tampering case, where my client was an FBI agent. Ms. Marran was very diligent and an excellent strategist, and was excellent with the client. She thought outside the box, and greatly contributed to his acquittal.

In 2013, my brother was extradited from Mexico to the United States to face federal criminal charges of narcotics in El Paso. He was facing at least 15 years in prison as the 8th of 12 defendants for a drug conspiracy. He was also the lead defendant on two separate federal indictments from San Diego, each carrying ten-year mandatory minimum sentences.
After two years of no movement on his case, my family hired Ms. Marran to defend him. She returned our calls on the same day and pushed hard to the medical attention that he needed.
In less than six months she had reviewed all the evidence, found weaknesses in the government’s case and negotiated a great deal resolving all three indictments. In the end, my brother (facing over 30 years) was sentenced to only 8 years.
Ms. Marran continues to look out for my brother and his medical care even after he was sentenced.
My family and I had lost hope for my brother until Ms. Marran returned that hope back to our lives and for that I cannot thank her enough. We will forever be grateful for what she has done and continues to do for my brother and family. She was. It just a lawyer, she became part of our family because of how involved and caring she was.
