I was in a car accident late January of 2018. Someone ran a red through an intersection and both our cars were totaled. The speed of the impact was just above 60mph. The person at fault was an underinsured motorist with a policy covering only up to $25,000. In the moments and days following the accident, I wasn't sure what to do. Luckily none of my injuries were life-threatening but I was still hurt, in need of treatment and unable to run my business.
