Amy West has represented me since 2017, she has been more than my attorney but she was my families rock. The level of confidence I had knowing she was representing me in every aspect of my case was unmeasurable. I have recommended close friends and family to her and would continue to do so as long as she continues to practice law. Ask for Amy West!

Amy West is the lawyer of choice. I've been working with Amy for over 7 years now and she has been an incredible and most invaluable asset I could retain. Amy has and is continuing to help me through a high conflict and difficult co-parenting relationship that has gone back to court.
Amy is direct and up front. I have never once doubted her sincerity or integrity. Many times in court, she has shown how diverse her experience is which always boosts my confidence with my case each time.
Again, I cannot recommend anyone more than Amy West.

From one law professional to another, my past experience from testimony over the years is that Ms. Warren is the type of attorney that doesn’t care what the best interest of the children are. She is known for causing chaos in tearing apart families. She forms an immediate bias toward one of the parties involved with regard to her minor clients position.
Ms. Warren refuses to find the truth rather than believing that a child can be manipulated and lie often which is common in a conflicting custody case. Harvard law school conducted a research and have found that over 90% of those under the age of 16 will fabricate the truth to protect one of the disputing parents in attempt to protect them.
Ms. Warren has never has learned the value of the role of being appointed minors counsel to have an open mind and find the truth. Judges have a tenancy to rely on minors counsel to be fact finders/ detectives and non bias and deliver findings for the judge to make orders. If she is appointed as minors counsel I would recommend against her.

I don't do write reviews very often, but I just wanted to leave a review for anyone else who has to go through the backwards workers' compensation system and is looking for help navigating this complex and bureaucratic system.
With that being said I will go ahead and give some background.I had a pretty severe injury at work that will affect me for the rest of my life. After the injury (while I was off work), trying to get my next surgery, I spent my days trying to keep after the workers' compensation insurance company. When it came time for my next surgery, I couldn't get it approved from the workers compensation insurance.
At this point, I was thinking about contacting an attorney to, at the very least, handle all the paperwork and help me navigate the godforsaken system that is California's workers' compensation. My doctor at the time couldn't believe that the workers' compensation insurance company denied my surgery, as they had sent X-rays to the insurance doctor, spoke with them, and even stated there were severe risks if I did not get this surgery. He recommended that I should look for an attorney to get the medical treatment approved and take off the burden of having to deal with the workers' compensation insurance company. Since I was also started to think the same thing I set out to find a workers compensation attorney.
After meeting with 7 or 8 attorneys and discussing my case, I felt no one was a good fit. They either came off too soft or were too big of a firm to really give the personal touch my case needed. When I had my consultation with Tom & Don, I knew I found the right place. Don and Tom were both passionate about the work their firm did. Don had the personal touch I was looking for, as the previous firms I had talked where either really big and had so many clients that I felt I was just another client or they were so small that wouldn’t be able to give my case all the attention it needed. Tom had the tenacity and sales skills one looks for in good attorney and demonstrated his passion for the field and the legal expertise he had gained in the years of fighting for workers who had been hurt on the job. One thing that Tom said that stood out to me was, "Whether you end up going with our firm or not, you need to find an attorney to represent you because whether you know it or not, you are in the middle of a lawsuit." That really solidified that I had found a firm that was going to go to bat for me and truly had my best interests at heart.
After signing with them, they got me my surgeries approved and helped me find the other medical treatment I needed. During this time, Don was always very helpful, as he always made himself available to talk and answer any questions I had. He also helped answer my questions when I started looking to get a new job. Something I had been doing before I got hurt and I wanted to continue on that path as I felt it would be good for my mental health. I was unsure if I would ever be able to go back to work and was scared to get a new job, but Don helped ease those concerns which allowed me to take the new job which paid significantly more and ended up being a great decision.
Recently, Tom & Don helped me resolve my case and fought long and hard to get me the best resolution they could. I can tell you that hiring their law firm was the best decision I made throughout this entire ordeal. Without their protection, I would have been chewed up and spit out by the system. The truth of the matter is no one is looking out for you in this system. If you have a good doctor, they will do what they can but, ultimately, their hands are tied when it comes to the workers' compensation system, which is why most of the good doctors won't even take on workers' compensation patients. Get yourself some protection! Get help from people who know the system and can help you navigate through it while maximizing the benefits you can receive. If they don't fit your style, go find another attorney/law firm to represent you.

I am so grateful that I had their representation and help navigating the workman’s comp medical system. They fought to get me medical care that was not only a necessity, but was life saving. For years they stuck by my side and made sure that I was well taken care of. Every person on their team was such a valued asset, from getting me to the right doctors, getting me approved for treatments, and taking care of my over all wellbeing. I couldn’t have made it without them, I truly believe that. They Literally saved my life.

If you value your claim, time, sanity stay away from this firm
This attorney hires the worst case assistants that have zero qualifications and will treat you in a unprofessional manner
They have costed my case tens of thousands of dollars already that I could of received in temporary disability benefits because the woman working there were probably in a bad mood or something close
They were hired to represent me but have made decisions on my behalf without my consent that has delayed my claim and delayed benefits
VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF

On February 20, 2013, I fell changing workstations in the billing office that I work in. I fell on my right knee after tripping over the wire frame that went to my mesh file box. The whole office saw me fall. One of the employees asked me if I was okay and I can still hear her say it to me. Another employee gave me a witness statement indicating that I fell on my right knee. When I was not given a work compensation form to fill out or even had the chance to fill out a work compensation form because of my fall, I thought I had better start keeping records. There was conflict of opinion with my supervisor/HR Manager and myself. I found out later that my supervisor twisted her story around of the events of the day. It is illegal for your employer not to let you file a workers’ compensation claim. They were afraid of the consequences so they kept quiet.
Later, in April of 2013, at the end of the week on a Friday, I had intense throbbing pain from my elbow down the radial side to my thumb. My right knee that I fell on in February was stiff and painful going down stairs to my car. Luckily, I had an appointment with my own medical doctor the next day. He told me it was lateral epicondylitis and that it was work related. This doctor put me on disability so that my arm could rest and to apply moist heat to my arm for pain. I am glad I never went back to work for this employer. This is a sheisty employer.
Because of my fall in February, not given the chance to fill out a work comp form, and now the diagnosis of epilateral condylitis, I felt the need to get some legal advice. I googled “workers’ compensation attorney” and the office of Mr. Thomas DeBennedetto came up along with other names. This was about April 25, 2013. Mr. DeBennedetto contacted me the next day and I went into see Mr. DeBennedetto the next day.
I immediately felt I did the right thing by obtaining Mr. DeBennedetto’s services when in the waiting room. He is a kind, ethical, courteous, and brilliant gentleman. His office is organized and very meticulous. I turned over all my statements from witnesses, notes, and paperwork I had kept for regarding my injuries. He answered all my questions.
Whenever I had a question, I would email Brittany, Myra, or Erin. I believe I talked to Josephine to make an appointment and she was very courteous. They would always get back to me with the answer to my question within 24 hours. This office knows the Workers’ Compensation system thoroughly. I found out that you cannot rush the system at all. If you want an office that listens to you, respects you as a person, and an injured person who has been treated wrongly, this is the office for you.
Originally, my claims were denied, but after my AME, the insurance accepted two out of three claims. Mr. DeBennedetto settled my case expeditiously and explained everything to me clearly and concisely. Even though the one claim was denied by the insurance company, the judge had to sign off on this claim too so, in essence, all three claims were accepted. Now that this is over with, I will be reporting this employer to the labor board.
If you are rude or mean to a person, do you expect to be treated with respect?!?. You heard the saying “you reap what you sow” and “what comes around, goes around”. Because of the office’s reputation that I experienced, I will be referring Mr. DeBennedetto’s office to all my friends needing an attorney.
Thank you again, Mr. DeBennedetto!

I was referred to Mr. DeBenedetto from a good friend of mine. He represented her in worker's compensation case she had a few years back and she was very satisfied so when I ran into some problems with my workers comp case I figured I would give his office a call and see what they could do to help me. To make a long and frustrating story short, I was hurt at work while lifting something in the stock room. I heard a pop noise and I immediately knew something was off. I reported the injury, was sent to a clinic by my employer. The doctor at the clinic did some xrays and said I probably sprained my back, sent me home with some medications and such and took me off work for a few days. I took the days off, went back to work and my back seemed to be getting worse with time rather than better so I told the same doctor the next time I saw him that my back seemed to be getting worse, I was having pain in my rear and and down my leg. The doctor again dismissed me and said it was a sprain. After doing some research on the internet I read that I could be having the symptoms of a herniated disk. Oh, and I forgot to mention I am still waiting to get authorization for the physical therapy visits he requested, things move slow in work comp, another reason I was pissed off. Ok, so bottom line is I was unhappy with the medical care I was receiving so I picked up the phone and made an appointment with Me. DeBenedetto. His office took my case on and acted quickly to get me to a spin specialist, an MRI was done and I did have a herniated disk that was causing my problems. I thankfully avoided a surgery and crossing my fingers that the conservative treatment will continue to keep my symptoms at bay. I am not the type of person who is looking for money, I just wanted to get well and get to a Dr who would help me get my health and life back on track. My case is not settled but I am so happy I finally go the help I needed. It amazes me that anyone tries to take on this process on their own. Knowing what I know now I would have hired an attorney the minute I was injured, I guess wishful thinking that my employer and the work comp insurance company being fair with me was a pipe dream. If you are looking for an aggressive no nonsense guy who get's things handled then this is the office for you. Very aggressive guy.

I highly recommend the Law Offices of Thomas Debenedetto to anyone in need of a worker's compensation attorney. I have full trust in his abilities. Thomas has years of experience as a worker's compensation attorney. He is knowledgeable of the worker's compensation system, and he keeps abreast of all changes and developments in the law.
Thomas represented me twice with worker's compensation claims. The first one took place in 2008. At the beginning of this claim I did not have legal representation; I was interacting directly with the insurance "carrier" - my employer's insurance company. After several months of examinations and treatments by the insurance company's doctors - going from one doctor to another - my condition had not improved and no diagnosis had been reached as to the nature and extent of my injuries. At this point I decided to seek legal representation. I searched the yellow pages for worker's compensation attorneys in my area. I consulted with several attorneys before contacting the Law Offices of Thomas Debenedetto. I found Thomas is to be knowledgeable of worker's compensation law, and experienced in handling worker's compensation claims. I felt confident with his representation. Thomas is personable. I felt comfortable and relaxed talking to him. Thomas immediately arranged for me to be seen by one of the best orthopedic surgeons in San Diego, and from that point forward I received excellent medical care - my injuries were diagnosed and I was provided with a plan for treatment. It gave me such peace of mind to know the extent of my injuries, and to have a plan for restoring my health. It was reassuring to know that I was in great hands medically and legally, When the insurance carrier delayed on approving physical therapy after my first surgery, one call to Thomas got the ball rolling right away! I was very satisfied with Thomas' representation, from the excellent medical care, to keeping the insurance carrier on task, and to the monetary award I received at the end of the claim.
In 2014, I was injured again on the job. I telephoned Thomas' office. It had been over three years since I had any contact with his law office and I was very pleased with the reception I received. I was able to get an appointment right away. Thomas arranged for me to be seen by the same orthopedic surgeon as with the previous claim - which is what I was hoping for. My injuries were not as extensive as with the first claim, so after the completion of a couple of months of physical therapy Thomas settled my case with the insurance carrier. I was, once again, very pleased with the results.
If you are in need of a worker's compensation attorney, call the law offices of Thomas Debenedetto. Thomas will see to it that you get excellent medical care, fair treatment from the insurance carrier, and the best settlement your claim merits.
