I am incredibly grateful to Kevan for his exceptional work in resolving an unfair civil penalty issued by the IRS for late reporting of cash gifts I received from my parents abroad—a requirement I was unaware of when filing my taxes. Even though no tax was due on these gifts, the IRS imposed a hefty penalty in the tens of thousands, and the resolution process dragged on for more than three years after we appealed. Mauro was my attorney and the IRS had sent me a bill showing that I owed hundreds and thousands of dollars. He took this bill looked into it, found that it was a mistake not only got the money waived, but got me money back that the IRS was holding. As the owner of my own law firm you can imagine my level of expectations when I had to find a law firm to assist me with a random IRS 8300 inspection. I was overwhelmed with the amount of documents and information I had to prepare for the examination. Kevan made it seamless and assured me all the way through.
