Disrespect and apathy was all I received from the attorney assigned to my case, Kayla Link, and her arrogant assistant Araceli. Right after accepting my case, Ms. Link went on vacation. She agreed to make arrangements with an orthopedic doctor before she left. She told me to call her assistant Araceli in a couple of days to get the address phone number and the date of my appointment with the doctor. I was in great pain and needed treatment. I called Araceli, and she assured me that she would book the appointment with the doctor as soon as possible. I waited, and I waited to hear back from her and there was nothing. After waiting 7 days, and in great pain, I called there a silly back. I asked her what the status was with the doctor. She placed me on hold for about 5 minutes and when she came back on the line she told me the doctor had attempted to reach out to me but was unable to get in touch with me. I had no missed calls, no texts, Nothing. I yelled an expletive and hung up on her. Long story longer, when Kayla returned from vacation she called me. She said Araceli told her about our exchange, and asked me if I could still work with her and Araceli. I told her she was okay, but there was no way in the world I wanted Araceli around my case, myself, or anything to do with it. At that, she said she had to recuse herself, but she had a very professional man in town that she could refer me to. I phoned the guy, and since I felt like someone had to oversee my treatment, I reluctantly hired him after he Finally returned my call after I left him numerous voicemails.He went out of the country soon afterwards and couldn't be reached for 14 days. During that time, I had a stroke. Since, over the next 3 weeks he had done NOTHING, I fired him . I finally have a competent attorney representing me and although I'm not 100% health wise, this nightmare is about to be over.
