Scotty is one of the best attorneys I have come across. Extremely humble, genuine and has attention to detail which is extremely important. He and his team handled couple of cases for me about 10 years back. So this review was long coming. He and his team will go to farthest end to make sure no stone remains unturned. He never forget his clients and always has your back even when the case is closed. I always look back to my younger self when I had no legal guidance , Scotty was the one who not only best represented me but also give the best advise and guidance on the legal matters. His methodic and grounded approach is what makes him to me, the best defense attorney

Scotty advised me on my case. He clearly laid out my options and scenarios and provided me with the necessary information to proceed. He's friendly and he knows what he's doing - would definitely recommend.

I was referred to him by an acquaintance after I was charged with a DUI. He took the edge of a painful process, and with the breathing room this provided was able to get back on track and get on with my life. I'm no longer in the same area as him, but I would definitely recommend him to anyone in a similar situation if I were.

I live in Texas now, but recieved a speeding ticket for wreckless driving in San Jose before I moved. I contacted Scott due to his experience with motorcycle laws and glad I did. I only recieved a $150 fine and 1 point on my DMV record for which I immediately took the CA traffic school to suppress that point so my insurance did not go up. I have a terrible driving record and gave Scott no room to bargain, yet he pulled it off. Totally impressed.

For better or for worse, I have had more than one opportunity to have Storey & Storey represent me for traffic related matters. Scotty is the BEST!!!
Initially, Scotty represented me a on a run of the mill traffic ticket. Let’s just say, the result was great enough to keep me coming back for future issues.
I then was charged with a reckless driving while on Highway 101. This was completely ridiculous charge. The officer claimed that I was weaving in and out of traffic while driving at an unsafe speed. The big problem with this charge is that it is a 2 point misdemeanor!!! The DA’s Office wanted jail time if there was a conviction for the charge. Scotty fought the case with all of the diligence and expertise that I have come to expect from him. In the end, Scotty managed a deal where I was convicted of two infractions but only received one point on my license.
Next, I was racially profiled while in Los Gatos and I got pulled over late at night and ultimately charged with a DUI. Scotty spent more than a year fighting my case. It came to my attention that Scotty was the first person in the history of Santa Clara County to actually go to the crime lab and view the blood samples on the DUI cases. The result of that investigation caused the District Attorney’s Office, the Crime Lab, and the people who take the blood samples to change the procedures and policies. After the long battle, the DA’s Office finally offered a “dry reckless” in order to resolve the case. I did not want to take the offer and Scotty was more than prepared and ready to go to trial and fight to the bitter end for me. Unfortunately, I got a new job out of the area and I could not take the time off to go trial and ultimately accepted the dry reckless offer in the end.
Scotty Storey is a great attorney and I recommend anyone in need of legal assistance to consider oneself lucky if he accepts your case.

When I got my DUI, I was terrified of the consequences, and was in shock (even though i was below 0.08 on the breathalyzer). After researching a few lawyers, I met with Scotty, and he informed me of what to expect. He handled all interactions with the DMV and the DA's office. Scotty was very professional and got a "set aside" for my License, and I wasn't charged on the Arraignment day.

Was unprofessional and did little with my case. I hardly heard a word from him about my case in the 10 months after I hired him to work on it.
I was left fending for myself as a result, my injuries unresolved, and a criminal was let free, because of it.

unfortunately i have been dealing with a lot of lawyers through out my life and this one is defiantly the worst,
i absolutely wouldn't recommend him to anyone!
i explain how delicate my case was but they still handled it as it was a normal speeding ticket.
now i'm SUSPENDED! and payed over 1500$!
i specifically explain to them my case prior to hiring mr scotty to make sure they understand my case but all they wanted was to get the case.
i honestly and truly believe that mr storey should not be practicing law

The DMV suspended my license for having too many points on my record. I retained Scotty Storey's office to handle a Negligent Operator's Treatment System, aka, Neg Ops hearing or NOTS hearing, for me. Scotty's Office's superlative handling of the case resulted in the DMV not suspending my license but putting me on probation for a period of time.
Unfortunately for me, a law enforcement officer cited me for a moving violation during my term of probation. This was bad news because if I got a conviction for the citation, I would definitely have my license suspended. I had a lot on the line. I had Scotty's Office represent me again, this time on the ticket. At trial, the judge dismissed the case against me because of the District Attorney's Office not complying with the court order to produce discovery. I don't really care how it happened but the case was dismissed and I can keep driving. That is what is really important.
I will be using their services going forward and I will recommend Scotty J. Storey to anyone that has any dealing or dispute with the DMV."

I got a speeding ticket in my car for going 75 in a 55 from Santa Cruz to San Jose on HWY 17. I thought the ticket was outrageous being I was in cruise control at 65. Yeah I was speeding but not that fast and the ticket was almost $600. I figured I would get a attorney to represent me. I saw Mr. Storey on a motorcycle website and decided to check him out. He is very competent and he got my case dismissed. He comes highly recommended by me. Thanks for all your help.

It was the the night before the tax return deadline, and if I didn't have enough to deal with already, I was pulled over for a so-called "unsafe lane change" on the 280. Not only did I strongly feel it was a bogus charge by a cop trying to meet his quota, but another point on my license would not have been good. I needed to find a competent attorney to fight this.
I called Scotty Storey's office based on their online reviews. A brief call with Mr. Storey himself made it obvious that they knew what they were doing. Not only did they get the charge dismissed, but they also explained the whole process to me in a reassuring way. I always felt I knew what was going on. Highly, highly recommended.

After getting a questionable ticket by a CHP officer in Santa Clara county, I called Scotty to discuss my options. He answered all of my (there are no) stupid questions, and was very informative.
He handled my case w/ professionalism which resulted in favorable results.
I would recommend Scotty to anyone who has run into the law while enjoying 2 wheels.
Thanks!
