Wow… I am a black father who is having to use an attorney for the first time ever. This is such a scary thing to begin with in my culture not alone the cost. However, Marianne did an amazing job during the consultation process alone. She never brought up money until I did, she was all ears and heart, she listened to me cry, she encouraged me, it was almost like she was an angel from God. This is the first time I've hired a lawyer. And it is because I have family law issue, and I am a father. I full heartedly recommend Jess Smith of Modern Family Law. If you care about the family member you're fighting for you want this person as your lawyer. I consider myself blessed and lucky to have had Jess as my lawyer. As a person dealing with family law for the first time I really wanted someone who knew what they're doing, was accessible and responsive, and can really interpret the bulk of the legal stuff, that can be extra stressful, when I was going through an emotionally traumatic family event. Without Jess, I really can't imagine what would have happened up to now. Spending on a lawyer is a big thing and your money won't be wasted on Jess Smith if you have your family's best interest in mind. And I mean that. Court has been positive with her at my side. She is honest, compassionate, smart, and worked hard with me to make this experience bearable, less stressful, strategically sound, and what I wanted. I would pay money to have her represent me in other legal matters if I had it like that and needed a solid lawyer. But God has given me only what I need in terms of legal representation, and I am thankful. I vetted several family law lawyers in the San Jose area and got an incredibly capable person in Jess Smith.
