I found my self in a sticky situation a few months ago. I was having some drinks with friends in Los Altos, a few hours went by, and I made the critical mistake of thinking I was good to drive home. Long story short, I made it home perfectly fine. When I was pulling into my driveway, I accidentally hit my neighbors' trashcan. I pulled into my driveway and went back to the street to fix the can. Luck would have it, an officer patrolling the street happened to see me the whole incident. As I walked to the street to fix the trash can I was with met with lights and sirens....A few hours later I was sitting in a cell wondering if my world was about to collapse around me. Lucky for me, a friend recommend Cody and I got on a call with him right away. He was clear about what would happen next and provided me the best possible advice, "DON'T ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS". The overzealous DA wanted to charge me with hit and run and DUI. Cody was able to get both charges dropped and clear my record. He may not be the cheapest, but who wants a cheap lawyer. I am very pleased to be writing this review, after a 19 year term, I am finally home and it’s all thanks to Cody’s hard work and dedication. I was sentenced to 19 total years in 2012 with a gun enhancement that included a 10 year consecutive term; laws changed and was eligible for a resentencing hearing that could potentially bring me home after 14 years or be resentenced to the same 19 year term. It wasn’t an easy case due to the severity of my charges but Cody worked so hard on my report to present go the judge, he requested my transfer back to Santa Clara County Jail and after 2 months I was released on a 14 year resentencing term that resulted in Time served. Cody kept my wife up to date on all the issues, communication was excellent and I’d recommend him to anyone. Thanks for the hard work Cody!

Mr. Cody Salfen was my court appointed attorney for my criminal case regarding some charges that really effected my life as a whole. This case was a result of another case I had with CPS. Mr. Salfen was extremely professional and on top of my case. Even after I forgot I had court due to my case being pushed out so many times Mr. Salfen appeared on my behalf and got my case as well as all charges dismissed. I did do alot of hard work along the way but I highly appreciated Mr. Salfen stepping in for me. I spoke to him after my last court date and he congratulated me on all my hard work. I would highly recommend Mr. Salfen it was a pleasure working with him.

One day after work I was chilling in my van when I witnessed some one hurting another person with out thinking twice I went and help the victim, the aggressor Jose Rivera got distracted by me giving the victim enough time for him to leve the scene the Jose Rivera became so mad he came to hurt me I had to push him and ran! He ran after me but could not catch me, he was so mad he called the police and lied to them, I ended up arrested with Battery charges but Mr Salfen's firm did investigation and were capable to save me from all this mess. I've learned my lesson and if you witness something like what I did report it right away DO NOT GET INVOLVED!

I spoke with Cody when I was issued my first citation. I had no idea how to handle the situation. He gave me the best and worse case scenarios, and let me know what was most likely going to happen. I appreciated his honesty and reassurance. While I hope to not have to have a consultation again, I would certainly go to Cody.
