I've used Mello & Pickering since 2021 and have never regretted it. They are an excellent firm with class, expertise, and care. I've had the honor of having Jessica Pellerin represent me over the last two years, she is an impeccable attorney. She is incredibly thorough, researched, patient, forward thinking, prepared, empathetic, and always always centers the child's best interest. She'll fight for you while never ever losing sight of the child and has great insight into what a judge is likely to do. She has represented me from issues ranging from a move-away case, school placement, and holiday schedules. As a gay mother who remarried a woman, I was concerned about how homophobia from my ex-husband might play out at our hearing but she handled the topic with so much care and of course, expertise on the law. I would recommend her to anyone, especially those that have complex cases. I would recommend this firm over and over.

Jessica was the calm, smart, and knowlegable friend who protected me and my son when I was scrared, depressed, and angry at end of my relationship with his mother. My son's mother threatened that our son would live with her, and I would only be allowed to see him when she saw fit. I was devastated and demoralized at the idea of not being able to see my son. I was a shambles when I sat down for my first appointment with Jessica. I'd never worked with a lawyer before: was it going to be all business, or could I share my fears, grief? Jessica made space for me to reveal to her the wreck that I was. It was vital to me to show her how important my son was to me, how scared I was by the threats our son's mother had made. She let me know she'd dealt with other fathers as scared as I was, that she understood the fear the legal system can inspire when a parent is already in fight-or-flight mode because of the end of a relationship. Then she walked me step-by-step through how the process goes, never impatient at having to re-explain the details to me. It was also important to me that I remain a “good guy”. I didn't want to do any character assasination to my son's mother, I didn't want to be adversarial in court. Jessica agreed with me, and together we crafted all communications with the opposing counsel, and the court. We won, but even if I hadn't I wouldn't regret having hired Jessica. After my experience with her, I don't believe there is anyone who could have done a better job.

Jessica was quick, professional, and very well educated on what to do to move my case along. I would recommend her for representation or counsel.

I definitely have come to appreciate what Mrs. Pellerin and the team did to help me focus on what was needed in lieu of sitting and letting things happen. The active approach recommend allowed me to close out a three year endeavour in about 6 months. Thanks Team!!!

I was so scared, lost and unaware of so much when I first met with Jessica. She was so kind, patient and understanding as I figured out my next steps in my life. Her firm was recommended to my by a family member, and I couldn't have asked for more. Jessica always had my back, and made sure I understood everything I was signing. She explained everything so that I understood what was going on, which is so important when going through a divorce. It is a difficult situation, an emotional roller coaster for sure. She was always aware of that, and never pushed or judged me. She always responded to emails and set up phone calls promptly. We managed to get the divorce wrapped up quickly, and that is exactly what I wanted. Jessica is incredible!

I was given Jessica's information from a fellow lawyer. I am so pleased with how my case was handled by her and her staff. If I ever had a question I knew I could shoot her an email or phone call and she would prompt to get back to me if she was unavailable immediately. Jessica was professional, caring, empathetic, and prompt. Nobody ever wants to deal with divorce, separation or family troubles. In some cases it's inevitable. Unfortunately it was what had to be done in my situation. She always made me feel comfortable and I never felt judged. She has amazing associates and staff. I'm sorry if you are having to look in to divorce or separation, I know it's hard and scary. Having Jessica on my side and there to back me up was the best decision I could have made. I assure you that she goes above and beyond the call of duty for her clients. I went to Mello and Pickering after i changed 2 attorneys in my divorce case. From the moment I stepped in , i was very well heard and all my expectations were met .Their service, attitude , and work ethics and proper legal strategies always gave me peace of mind till the end . Traci and Jessica got me results and excellent service which a person going through such tough times needs . They are always there for you , Jessica and Traci were always reachable , they answered promptly and got me what i wanted - divorce without having to go to the court and filing motions . On this note let me just tell you that the opposing party is very adamant and always ready to fight till the end of the world , Jessica handled my case with utmost care , responsibility and promptness in the worst case scenario as well when the opposing party and his lawyers were utterly irresponsive with comjng to any agreement. The opposing party and the lwayers felt like banging your head agaist a wall not cause they were better but they would not even respond . But Jessica stayed strong , always stayed on top of my case and got me what i wanted . To summarize - Traci pickering and Jessica are the best, supportive ,professional, and capable attorneys . I will go back to them if i have to in future - without a second thought hopefully all stays well .
