I am a trust attorney who recently used Bob Bergman services to assist with a very sticky situation on an estate administration. His years of experience and command of unique solutions are unparalleled. He helped our client avoid a major tax problem and major delays in the administration of their parents' estate. I was very satisfied with his work, efficiency, and demeanor with our client. They were extremely grateful, as was I.

Very disappointing experience for estate planning. Provides a cookie cutter template document, does not take the time to give proper advice tailored to your situation. Basically has you fill out a worksheet and does not provide a draft of the plan. Very sloppy work, lots of typos, even in legal documents which caused them to be not recorded for many months. The end result was that the whole estate plan needs to be redone.

I cannot say enough good things about Robert Bergman. Recently, my family found itself in a real bind, following the unexpected death of my brother. For many years, my brother had used the services of a Bay Area estate attorney, periodically making changes to his trust. Upon his death and with the imminent sale of his property, we were faced with the unpleasant news that his trust was not, in fact, going to protect his assets. After all of the years of visiting and paying his attorney, it was all for naught! Upon the recommendation of the Probate Court overseeing my brother’s jurisdiction, and a series of subsequent attorneys, we were advised to contact Attorney Robert Bergman, who, though he was not located anywhere near my brother’s property, was not only well-versed in our predicament and the reasons for it (which could easily have been avoided), but was able to quickly turn the situation around to our benefit, thus avoiding probate and allowing for the successful sale of the property. Had he not been so capable and expedient (time was of the essence!), I am convinced that the sale would have fallen through. Robert Bergman is not only extremely knowledgeable and thorough, but is especially kind and thoughtful. In my dreams and given our predicament, I did not expect to be placed in such capable hands! He is truly the man you want to assist with your estate planning and financial needs – THANK YOU, Bob!

My first appointment in 2012 with a different estate planning attorney never got past the waiting room - he wanted $500 up front just for the initial appointment so I walked out. Then I found Bob and went to one of his seminars and hired him to develop my living trust and also to revise it twice. He is very knowledgeable in estate planning and answered all of my questions; he also makes himself available anytime other questions or issues come up. I think his prices are reasonable and would highly recommend him. Update May 2021 - had some updates to my trust, still like Bob and his services.
