I came to Renee after my friend had recommended her to me. My ex-wife refused to let me see my daughter and I was not going in the direction I wanted to in the court system. At the outset, Renee was extremely helpful, diligent and eager to help me get custody of my daughter. After a short period of time with her representing me, I now have custody of my daughter and will be going back to court with Renee to get more time. Renee's fee structure is also reasonable given her experience in this area of law. I am very happy with Renee and the work she has done for me.

Because of a lack of care and quality in her work I have been the subject of ongoing domestic and legal abuse since I hired her. She was relentless about billing, even when I was homeless. Stay away.

I hired Ms. Marcelle. In 7 weeks I was billed $41K. Ms. Marcelle's approach to my case was to be on offensive, but I believe deescalation, and mediation would have been a far more successful, and less costly approach. She did not refer me to collaterals, such as accountant, forensic evaluator, parenting educator, or child therapist, although the other party had been referred to these collaterals by their attorney, and both parties had been ordered to parenting education. I did not feel Ms. Marcelle was emotionally supportive towards me the client, my family, or proposed solutions to address the emotional needs of my children (such as child therapy). She did not inquire about their daily schedule, which was important an important factor in deciding the custodial schedule. Ms. Marcelle did not make a motion to request attorney's fees from the more monied party. A subsequent attorney filed such a motion, and I was award all fees. Ms. Marcelle did file papers timely, did return calls, and did show up in court when she was supposed to, but otherwise it is important for the client and the attorney they hire to mesh well, as a team. I did not feel this was the case in my situation.

Renee did my domestic partnership/divorce without a hitch. Her no-nonsense approach was refreshing. Figuratively speaking Renee held my hand through the emotional trauma which was definitely part of this life changing dissolution. We had three small children which we negotiated custodial responsibilities and divided our assets effectively which went as smooth as one could expect and Renee's 25 year experience was obvious. Renee is impeccably honest and direct which I needed during this confusing and emotionally challenging time. You can trust Renee to guide you through a family crisis such as this, without breaking your check book.

Renee is very professional, direct, does not waste your time. She really knows her profession well. I was pleased with her service as well as her assistant Dawn.
