Second time around - first attempt wasn’t clear enough on my end to proceed.

I was wrongfully sued by a former contractor who had helped build my house. Richard was indispensable in helping me WIN that case. Instead of BSing around in arbitration, my case was transferred to superior court, where the judge found for me, WITH PREJUDICE. How often does THAT happen??? I intend to use Richard again, soon, to help me get all my assets into a revocable living trust, because I want a very specific line of beneficiaries prioritized in a bit of a non-traditional way, and I know Richard can provide more than the boiler-plate forms so I can rest easy that my estate will be properly distributed.

Worst lawyer I have ever dealt with, overcharged for minimal work. I even had to locate the applicable case law for him. Of some of the work product produced I ended up throwing a majority out as it was completely unusable before i fired him I found an another lawyer for literally a fraction of the price While working with him he refused to bring my demands to the opposing side claiming they were "unreasonable", Oddly enough when the case was settled they approached me offering, If not exceeding, what he refused to present. Could've save thousands of dollars has Richard Paris presented my demands when requested

I was contacted by Richard through legalmatch.com after submitting a short summary of my situation. I needed legal assistance in filing a suit against a former landlord whom I sued for emotional damages and constructive eviction. I would highly recommend Richard Paris for a variety of civil law matters. Over the years, Mr. Paris provided advice/counsel before a small claims court appearance pertaining to a car accident. He also provided advice/counsel on a landlord-tenant matter pertaining to breaking a lease early and legal consequences and issues flowing therefrom. He is incredibly detailed, thorough, and kept me updated consistently. He has a great rapport with clients and always made me feel comfortable and informed. I was originally referred to Mr. Paris by a friend and former client. From our first meeting it was clear that Mr. Paris was very knowledgeable. My case was borderline, and I didn't have the funds to pay him a retainer or fee's. He accepted my case on a contingency basis, probably knowing going in there wasn't much of a chance of winning. He fought hard and kept me informed every step of the way. My case carried on for months and no doubt Mr. Paris had countless hours of his time invested. Even when it became clear chances of winning were slim he would not give up. This man gets his teeth into a case he does not let go. I will forever be indebted to him for his tenacity and hard work. He jumped right into my case, which was highly contested. In very difficult circumstances he achieved a good settlement. Throughout our working relationship, I found Richard to be an excellent communicator. When I had questions, he quickly got back to me and explained the law as it applied to my case in clear, easily understood language. I also found him to be extremely capable, coming up with solid legal support for our positions. Most importantly, he was compassionate and understanding. Richard provided great value. Since my case ended, I’ve called him a few times to ask some questions and he’s always been willing to talk to me on the phone. I have no hesitation in recommending Richard to anyone who needs a skilled and professional attorney.

A friend of mine referred me to Mr. Paris after I had been working with another lawyer and wasn't getting results. Richard helped me finish my divorce, which involved a lot of property, and he negotiated an excellent settlement for me. He is also a mediator but my ex wasn't willing to do mediation so everything had to go through the court. I probably was't the easiest client, particularly since I hadn't had such good experiences with prior lawyers. Richard made sure I understood everything that was going on. There's no getting around the fact that it costs a lot to hire a lawyer, but I went over his bill with a fine-tooth comb and everything was very fair. Richard is extremely tenacious, he is exactly the kind of person you want fighting for you. I'm so happy I hired him and that my divorce is finally over!

I have used Richard several times in dealing with my wife's X-Husband. It's a very, very tricky and delicate situation and Richard has given me really solid advice time and again, and has managed to actually keep me more or less OUT of court, which I consider to be the greatest service an attorney can provide. He's also advised me in some real estate issues and represented me in a very terrifying and serious harassment situation wherein I was actually worried about the welfare of my family. I've been getting help from Richard since I moved to Marin County from the East bay in 2004. I deal with attorneys every day in my line of work and know the inner workings of the legal profession, and I can tell you Richard is one of the good ones. Don't expect him to candy-coat your situation. He'll be straight with you and give you a good idea of the odds of coming out on top. He also knows the judicial make-up over at the civic center ... knowing the judges and their disposition and the way they tend to rule is HUGE and a big part of the legal strategizing. Im writing this and seeing two negative reviews in the right hand column and am a bit baffled. I've never been over billed and he hasn't make any mistakes in my dealing with him. He's a good guy and a hard worker who knows his business and all the stuff he's done for me has definitely been done and billed in a fair way.
