Our group hired Ryan when a government organization near our homes announced a project that had not gone through the proper CEQA and Coastal Development Permit environmental reviews. Ryan succeeded in preserving the public's right to be heard and in getting the organization to conform to the laws to which they should have conformed all along. Ryan Moroney handled the case for the group Save Our Big Trees for which I am the spokesperson. The case was against the city of Santa Cruz for its weakening of its Heritage Tree Ordinance without any environmental review. Mr. Moroney was a pleasure to work with. When an environmentally sensitive habitat on and adjacent to our property was damaged by an unpermitted project, we needed help finding the most cost-effective path to obtain restoration and protection from continuing damage.
