Matt is a very talented immigration attorney. I contacted him on behalf of a friend who was in a complicated immigration situation. Matt was extremely knowledgeable about both federal and state laws and procedures relating to immigration. There is no clear law on the situation we were dealing with, and he was very creative in developing a strategy, and it worked! The engagement lasted several years because there were several intermediate steps that needed to take place along the way. Even though it wasn't in Matt's purview to handle those intermediate steps, he was both patient and generous with his time in helping my friend get through those successfully. Matt took my friend's case on pro bono when Matt was employed at his prior public service organization. When he moved to open his own private practice, Matt generously asked if my friend would be willing to continue the engagement with Matt in his private practice, still on a pro bono basis. In addition, Matt is very personal, even-keeled, prompt, and accommodating. It was a pleasure working with him over several years.
