It has been several years now since our adoption went through, but our memories of working with Elise are still as strong as ever. She worked tirelessly on our case, which was a complicated one. She somehow managed to sift through all of our emotional responses to family court and elaborate tracking systems to soothe us and find the details that would come to make the difference between winning our case or languishing in the probate system. She was truly dedicated and tireless in supporting our family through emergency guardianship, permanent guardianship, and finally-- permanent adoption. We are an LGBT family and she never showed any bias towards us whatsoever; on the contrary, she approached us with kindness, care, and compassion.
