I met a young man once years ago who had been f@$#ed over by his hired attorney MELVIN BETNUM. The story he told me was awful, the poor man had been preyed upon, lied to and his situation was far worse in the end than when he hired Betnum. I honestly don’t even remember specifics of his story but I do remember being appalled, angered and feeling so sorry for this young black man. It was just today that I found the notebook of mine that I jotted the name ‘MELVIN BETNUM- A$$hole Attorney’ down when I met the young guy and listened to his misfortunes… and decided to look the SOB up.

Melvin is knowledgeable, hard working, dependable, honest, well-dressed, easy to work with lawyer who represents his clients in a professional manner. Melvin is the one to get. He works hard and he is smart. Very happy with my case outcome.

Recently had four cases thrown out and allowed me to feel comfortable / trust my cases mattered ...unlike lawyers that rip you off..

Refered to me through a mutual contact. Knew more about my case upon first visit then i knew myself. Gave me a reasonable and affordable deal for my case, he really works with and for his clients. Literally turned a maximum sentence into all but case being dismissed. I dont know many people in law, but if i needed assistance in the future, id ask him first without any hesitation. my story is oh very common drug charge, but I was scared and I went to get a lawyer didn't want to end up in jail. so I hire this firm and they went all out for me, my case was reviewd well and they kept me informed of all the processes.

The worse lawyer ever did not want to do his job. Basically forced me in to taking the deal like he was the D.A. Calling me a drug addict. 2,450$ for pretrial and did nothing for me that a public defender couldn't do lied to me saying we have a great chance at winning the case then asked for 3,000 more for trail. I pay it we go back to court then he tells me we are 99 percent gonna lose. Don't ever hire him or any one from the law office of David s. Chesley inc.

Betnun, this guy is a complete professional. He is respectful, straight to the point and quick. His experience is obvious just by hearing him speak. going from multiple charges including a felony charge, Betnun got it all reduced to a single infraction. Seeing him in court was a treat.
