I can't speak to others' experiences...but I contacted them about a past due account...mailed in the payment...and at every turn, the people I spoke with were friendly and pleasant and helpful. I had to call back to get them to mail out my "paid in full" letter, but it arrived within a week, and two weeks after they received my payment, the delinquency notice was gone from my credit reports (they had told me 30-60 days).

If I could give this place 0 stars or even negative stars, I would happily do so. I have never dealt with such rude and disrespectful employees of a company before. Hands down the worst experience ever! I know they are a debt collector, but there is a thing called being humane, which they are not..

If I could give less than a star I would. The tactics employed by the associates at Caine & Weiner are unprofessional, rude & simply unacceptable for any professional company. I was not spoken to with any sort of decency, the employee had an elevated, agitated voice and she was essentially trying to coerce me into paying a bill which was erroneously billed. When I tried to explain the bill was an error & I would contact the issuer of the bill to get it rectified...she angrily and adamantly refuted my claim & insisted that the bill was legitimate & I owed the amount she was seeking. When I again insisted I would speak to the issuing company she mislead (lied) me and said that I could no longer speak to them about this bill, that it now belonged to them & was 100% valid and I owed them the money. Long story short, I called the issuing company the next day only to have them fix the error and apologize for the mix up. This infuriated me as the rep from C & W said that there was no way I could do that and that the original company had no control over this bill anymore. I am filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. I am a business owner myself & if you are seeking a collection agency, this is NOT the agency you want to represent you. It will reflect poorly on your company to be associated with C & W, unless you have no problem employing an unprofessional outfit that goes about its job with bullying & lies. Shameful.

My sister returned a call to Ms. Mathews. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. I could hear her yelling at my sister from four feet away. My first thought was this is a scam. I get collectors have a job to do, however I expect them to be professional. This company should teach their representatives phone skills.

This company reports information that is wrong to collect information. They are not honest and have a terrible reputation. If you have to deal with them turn them into the CFPB and also the State of California Department of Justice Office of the Attorney of the attorney General

This place is unprofessional, the people who work there are rude and dont even get me started with the income threats. When I owe a debt, I will pay it, however I don't owe this money and they dont care. I rented a car from Enterprise. I was a good customer, I needed to rent a car for a long time while waiting for my car to get fixed. I had rented my secind car with no complaints, paid my bill each month and never had a problem, until I took the car back. After I took back the car, I had washed it and filled it up with a full tank of gas. 6 months later I get a collection notice from C+W stating I stole a tire inflater. I had no idea what that is, so I had to ask. I have been trying to.clear this uo since May 2017. First I called Enterprise no answer and no call back. I callwd C+W and No one cares. Ive owed money before but I.do not owe a dime and will not pay for something I.dont have. I believe an employee at Enterprise dropped the ball on me. Either the person who had the car before I did stole it, or someone from Enterprise stole.it and is blaming me. This company is full of incompetence. I wont pay them a dime, but and this is important . They will never ever get my phone number because these people are relentless.. I wish you had a place for us to put minus stars.
