To be honest, it appears to me they’re in it more for the money than to actually help people. I have resources but I was extremely put off by being presented with the bill up front before I even got a chance to talk to an attorney. 6k for a retainer, $375 per session with a lawyer in 6 minute increments and $175 with a paralegal. Wish I could have seen for myself if y'all are worth that amount, but I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had a great experience with Kermish & Pelatz. Mary Lu was a quick and brilliant mind and I pretty much just let her do her thing. She communicated with me when she had to and handled matters mostly on her own. We communicated through email and she seemed honest with the time billed. She was truly a professional and I am glad she helped me resolve my divorce. I am happy with the outcome, I appreciate her knowledge and experience and I would seek her out again for legal advice. I retained William for a spousal support termination case in L.A. last year, and received a ruling in Aug. 2020. My case really screamed precedent, and I was confronting California's archaic laws with long term marriages and the rules regarding how long spouses must endure providing monetary support. My former spouse did not want to support herself or seek a career, post-divorce. Over 5 years after dissolution, she was attempting to defraud me for support in perpetuity as a revenge tactic. California laws seemed to be completely on her side and void any fairness for the paying spouse. The challenges to this case were immense, and things did appear hopeless. William and his team worked diligently to solidify my case with every legal tactic possible and suggested a vocational expert to highlight the ex-spouse's working ability. In the end, I was able to achieve a deferred termination of spousal support. I was thrilled with the ruling, and would definitely recommend William and his team.
