Ben is an amazing attorney as well as a wonderful individual. My fiance was being charged with crimes that he did not commit. After contacting several attorneys throughout the IE and hearing their outlandish fees, things began to look bleak. I began thinking that several years of jail time were going to be my fiances only option. Luckily, however, I stumbled across Ben on Avvo. Before giving him a call, I thought for sure he was going to be like all the other attorney's who I had spoken to previously. They were all willing to help, but only for an insanely high fee. Despite this, I trekked forward and gave him a call. That call ended up being the best decision I have ever made. From the get go Ben was nothing more than helpful and reassuring. Benjamin Cates represented me in a criminal case that lasted a year and a half. It was my first "run in" with the law, so I had no idea how to go about dealing with any court proceedings.
