Overall impression of creating a Living Trust in the hands of John Chang of PATINELLI & CHANG, LLP would be 'comfortable'. Since the subject matter brings up many feelings over sensitive topics, a calm and relaxed demeanor is needed and was received. First, the complementary consultation upfront was a very good start based on a survey outline. A major positive was that this group was not about charging down to the tenth of hour like most firms that I had researched. This applied to emails, phone calls, and/or face to face meetings. A price was agreed upon and it was down to business. It should be noted that we never felt hurried at any stage of the process. John was exemplary at responding to emails including weekends or evenings. We found John very accommodating to our requests especially regarding secure communication. John answered all of questions during the process thoroughly and without annoyance. We never experienced any judgement or contention from John over any of our ideas. I felt at times I was getting lost in my own head. If you need more guidance, speak up. As good as John is, he doesn't read minds. John assured us that he was there for us after the Living Trust was completed. I have not tested the assertion, but not losing any sleep. If you are in the market for a Living Trust/Estate Planning, you owe it to yourself to talk to John Chang.
