Unfortunately had to go through a divorce and had to find a lawyer. When I met Ester she was very kind, listened to my story and gave me most of my options I could proceed with going forward. I wasn’t rushed or hurried in our initial meeting like I had been with other lawyers who wanted large sums just to talk with me for a short period of time and not very helpful with information. As we went through the process of the divorce she kept my emotions in check but did not dismiss them, which was nice knowing she understood where I was coming from, but guided me on the best path to pursue. But when it became apparent that we would have to be aggressive in our actions she definitely was up to it. Trust me when I say she will go toe to toe with any lawyer and will not be bullied around. Whatever you need or want to do she will tell you if it’s good or not then move forward with a plan. I can’t speak highly enough of her and how she helped me through one of the toughest periods of my life. I left feeling immensely satisfied with my agreement and custody and don’t think it could have gone any better

Ester is an amazing lawyer!! She helped me with my divorce and won!! Ester was so understanding and guided me along the way. Right when I wanted to give up she pushed me all the way through. Ester was recommended to me by a friend and I am forever grateful. Ester and all the parties that worked with/for her (e.g., paralegal) were perfectly in line with what I wanted out of my divorce. I just wanted a fair divorce and to maintain my integrity. I did not want to go for the jugular. My ex-husband was dealing with some mental health problems and was lying and draining joint accounts and so I just wanted the fastest and cleanest way out while still ensuring some sense of equity. My ex-husband’s attorney was the exact opposite of Ester and tried to get as much money out of me as possible- really just attempting to cripple me financially when what we were offering was more than fair. They also refused to settle on anything reasonable and drew out proceedings as long as they possibly could, going for emotional distress. It really was traumatic and, more importantly, disappointing. I’m sorry to anyone that is going through the same. Ester was very supportive and a great legal guide through this tough time. I understand that, in some cases, it does make sense for one spouse to hand over hundreds of thousands of dollars to their soon-to-be ex in the name of what was shared during the marriage. This was not one of those cases. If you are divorcing any kind of narcissist, abuser, someone who is mentally ill, someone who is lying, or someone whose attorney is out for blood, go with Ester. She knows how to tame wild dogs. I am so happy to be divorced, to have what I consider a fair split of assets, and to have my dignity in tact. My ex-husband and his attorney cannot say the same. That’s all thanks to Ester. Cannot recommend highly enough.

When faced with a cross road with legal in your life; you get lost on how, what, when, and back on how, what and when.... When I met Ester - she was more than just an attorney. Unfortunately, fathers have very few rights when it comes to caring for their children. Fathers are seen as a financial provider who gets visitation with their Children, if allowed. However; I wanted my children to remain with me and to be comfortable in the home they were accustomed to from birth. I found Ester on this site and because of her reviews, I made an appointment with her. Ester is an amazing family attorney. She helped me to gain custody of my children. Ester is very professional, to the point, and she doesn’t sugar coat anything, therefore; I knew where I stood at all times during my court hearings. Ester was up against a very difficult and unreasonable opposing attorney, but with her professional demeanor, and with calmest, she was able to bring order to a very disorderly opposition in my favor. I highly recommend Ester, I trusted her with my and my children’s future and she came through for me with flying colors. Thank you Ester!

I had a horrible year with some terrible events that compromised my marriage. It became evident to me that I had to take the steps to getting a divorce. I called several attorneys who spoke to me in a very degrading manner. A family friend, was able to start the process for me but not able to complete it due to a conflict of interest. She said I could go to the courthouse and do the rest of the paperwork on my own. Well, that was a disaster! Each time I would go to the courthouse someone would tell me I did something wrong and I needed to re-complete certain paperwork. My best friend for so many years told me she had an attorney who is willing to talk to me. That was Ester! I went in to meet with her after making an appointment, taking all the paperwork I had. She sorted through it kept what she said was necessary and I walked out the door, knowing that my work was done and everything was going to be fine. It was a wonderful experience working with Esther. Everything went smoothly and before I knew it the divorce was final. I would recommend her to everybody who needs to go through this process!

I consulted attorney Ester Kim for my divorce affairs, she talks very specific, black and white and professional. she didn't provoke . she listened my case and explains me options available. If i needed attorney for my case, i definitely retain her.

We were referred to Ester by another attorney since our hearing was in Torrance and Ester clerked in Torrance. After firing our previous attorney for lack of vision and strategy, it was refreshing that Ester had a game plan after our first meeting. The outcome was exactly what we expected. We were forced back in court 2 months later due to a technicality and I was caught off guard with an additional expense. Ester lent me the money to take care of the issue. This was above and beyond the call of duty. She is amazing. I would hire her again for any civil matters.

Ester was exceptional. We had originally hired an attorney who unfortunately was unable to meet the high level of service we expected. Finding Ester was a true breath of fresh air. Ester was beyond detailed, honest, well versed, intelligent and absolutely looked out for us. She was faced with two opposing counsel and she didn't even break a sweat in defending us. She knew what was right and she kept her professionalism and composure the entire time. Even when the opposing counsel tried their best at being less than reasonable. Given the sensitivity of our matter, she managed every detail with class and professionalism. I would recommend her anytime and if needed I would hire her again. She's simply amazing.
