Attorney Dastrup cares. Although I only communicated with him for a free consultation via phone, he took his time to provide his assessment and insight. Since my case was unique, he even referred me to someone whom he thought could help me better. Unfortunately, that did not work out, but Attorney Dastrup continued to be there, even after that phone call. I had contacted other attorneys, one of whom stopped me from asking questions, because she said, "I am not your attorney. This is just a free consultation." Attorneys like that are too concerned about money. However, the opposite is true for Attorney Dastrup. He is concerned about helping you. He genuinely cares and will help you or point you in the right direction. Thank you, Attorney Dastrup, for caring about me and giving me your precious time! You are great!

Mr. Ruff quite literally saved my life. It's taken me a while to write this because it's hard to put into words my gratitude for all the hard work he put in and what he accomplished. I was being charged with hit and run where a death was involved which carries up to 5 years in prison. I admitted everything to police when they arrested three weeks after the fact which didn't leave Mr. Ruff very much to work with for a defense. Police had video footage and plenty of evidence against me. After 2.5 years and many court dates he returned a result of NO conviction. I have 2 young daughters and my absence would have been devastating to my family. Mr. Ruff has zero help, does EVERYTHING by himself, puts in an incredible amount of effort for his clients, shows up at every court date which you won't find with majority of attorneys and he doesn't stop until he returns the best possible outcome. I am unbelievably grateful for what he was able to do for me. Thank you Mr. Ruff!

This would've been my second excess of 100mph charge. After the first one I got when I was 18 I didn't wanna find out what a second offense would be like. License suspension, $1000 fine, 3 points on my record I didn't wanna take a chance. I called David met him at his office for a consultation. I decided he's the guy for the job. The day of the hearing he calls me while I'm at home and tells me the good news. Case dismissed! I couldn't belive it. Mr.Dastrup, going forward will be the attorney I would recommend to friends and family as well as for me if I run into trouble again.

I got a speeding ticket on a street near my house. It was my first ticket in 7 years, so I assumed that I could go to traffic school to avoid having the ticket appear on my record; but when I logged on to the court website to pay my ticket, it said that traffic school was not available to me. I found out that the speed recorded on the ticket was 1 mph more than the amount permitted for traffic school. So I looked online to see if there was a traffic ticket lawyer in my area that might be able to request traffic school for me. I called the office of David Dastrup, in Long Beach, and left a message with the receptionist. Mr. Dastrup called me back right away and answered all of my questions. I told him that this was my first ticket in 7 years, and he explained to me that the amount of time between tickets wouldn’t help me in court; he said that many people go for a long time before getting a ticket… it doesn’t always mean they didn’t speed the entire time… it just means they hadn’t been caught yet. He did say that he might be able to request traffic school and possibly even lower the fine a bit. I told him that I was only concerned with keeping the ticket off of my record, and not really that concerned about the fine. The fee he quoted me for his services was much lower than I expected, so I jumped at the chance. Mr. Dastrup has an online portal for sending/receiving documents and for messaging, and he was very good about keeping me updated on my case, via the portal. After my trial (which I did not need to attend), Mr. Dastrup called me and told me that he was able to get the judge to lower the speeding amount so I could go to traffic school, AND he took almost 2/3rds off of the fine amount! I couldn’t believe it; I thought for sure that I would end up with the ticket on my record for years, and that I would be saying to myself, “Well, at least I tried.” I could never have accomplished this without the help and expertise of Mr. Dastrup. Thanks to him, the results were above and beyond what I expected. Mr. Dastrup is very knowledgeable, friendly, a good listener, great with maintaining communication, and charges very reasonable fees. Highly recommended!

Attorney Mathew Ruff is not just an excellent lawyer but a very kind and patient person. My experience working with Mr. Mathew Ruff was excellent. In 2007, he gave my case all the time and attention that was needed in to be successful in court. He was calming and assuring during every court proceeding. He helped me get back to my normal life and for this I will always be very grateful. Recently, I needed assistance in understanding some legal documents and he was more than helpful in providing me all the details so I could successfully complete my paperwork. Atty David handled 2 of my cases. 1st case turned out to have a very good result "Case Dismissed" and the 2nd we didnt got lucky but the way Atty David handled the case turned out to be good. The traffic fee was reduced and the professional fee Atty even refunded me big portion of it. Overall the service and result is good. Thank you very much Atty David Joae Lim
