I retained Marcy 5 years ago and the only regret I have is not doing it sooner. She has changed our lives for the better. The school dist. has us backed in a corner. With Marcy they didn't stand a chance. They did not even want to go into deliberations, now she had them backed into a corner. Our lives suddenly changed that day. I will not go to an IEP without her representation there. It is one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. My son is better for it. Thank you Marcy and staff! Marcy Tiffany is an outstanding lawyer specializing special education law. We faced a very difficult situation with the school district and how they treated our special needs child. Year after year, we have been told by other lawyers and are school district what are son can't have for his disabilities. Even though in Wrights Law, says it's a law, and he needs it for his disabilities. Until we were referred to Marcy and Tiffany by a person with a professional Special Education background. Oh my god, we couldn't be more appreciative towards Marcy and Jen going over all our son's IEP's and asking us questions! This way they could learn about our son and his special needs. When we went to mediation with Marcy, she handled the settlement case very professional. She fought and got our son what he needed. We see a big change for the better in our son! We have been working with Ms. Tiffany for several years now. We were faced with a due process lawsuit that the district had filed against us over placement. We knew we needed strong representation. Ms. Tiffany came highly recommended by a fellow parent. Thanks to Ms. Tiffany's skillful negotiations with the district, she turned the tables and they were willing to settle. Without this settlement, our son would have ended up in a highly inappropriate placement. Ms. Tiffany continues to follow our son's case, keeping track of his educational progress. At the IEP meetings, she is not afraid to ask the hard questions and demand accountability. In my opinion, expertise is not enough for an attorney in special education. Marcy Tiffany is absolutely one of the most responsive, smart, excellent attorneys I have ever worked with. Marcy Tiffany has been our attorney since 2006 and we have been extremely happy with her. She takes the time getting to know us and our child with special needs, explaining the legal process, and our game plan. She looks very sweet but when we went to a mediation, did she turn into a tiger! We ended up settling, but I received so much services for my son. She and Jen Ralph (very competent advocate/paralegal) have always gone above and beyond for me and my son. We had gotten tired of useless, bank account sucking, IEP meetings with a very high profile lawyer in the OC area before we were referred to Marcy Tiffany. In fact, we had almost given up fighting for our child. Marcy took our case and filed due process and we reached a settlement quickly. She has represented us on a recent filing and again helped us reach another great settlement. We are forever grateful for this humble, generous woman who fights hard! She is an amazing negotiator.
