Mr. Milan represented my daughter in a hearing with Employment Development Department (EDD). Her previous employer sued her in an attempt to collect back unemployment benefits which were paid to her during the pandemic. She was terrified at the prospect that she would own money she did not have. I hired Mr. Milan on her behalf and he walked her through every step of the process, He was extremely thorough and detail oriented and he successfully prevailed in her case. Bad experience, only helps with money, calls allot for the money no results you keep paying for nothing. I don't recommend him and unprofessional.

Do not hire this CROOK! I repeat do not hire him and stay away and run as fast as you can. I tried to fire him many times before he even started my case but he was quick to manipulate me, trick me and talk to me for an hour just to convince me on how good he is and how aggressive he is. All he did was always made fun of opposing counsel but he did absolutely nothing for me but take my money and run. Once he got on the case he was only on it for 2 days and he used up all my retainer. I was always skeptical about him since I talked to him but I gave him an opportunity only because me kept emailing and calling me through the whole month of March asking for me to pay the retainer asap because he needed to get on my case. He made all these fake promises and didn't deliver anything but he's a thieve. Run!

A very poor experience

A genial guy, I liked him but he is delusional regards his professional ability. I employed him for one year to act on my behalf in my ongoing child custody case, he frittered my money away on endless communications most of which were unnecessary because he doesn’t listen! Tell him six things to do, he hears two and does one. The only success I had during his tenure as my employee was 100 percent my own doing. Prior to retaining him I had been to court on my own and won the first victory in three years, a child custody investigation. Six months later when this came due, I attended the multiple day investigation alone and won back joint custody. He attended court with me two months later and got the report stipped onto record, I could have and should have done it myself too, since what he okayed is deeply flawed and continues to be problematic. Lawyers I have consulted with since are aghast that he didn’t rectify these issues. I kept him on retainer for another five months out of fear of being without support, but he caused further complications and problems by agreeing to things with opposing council without my permission or knowledge that weakened my hard won custody orders. Subsequently he continued to squander my money on needless endless communications with me and opposing council until I had to let him go. However, The agreement I made with him was that he would immediately represent me again should any development occur which could move my custody forward. That moment came three month later with undeniable proof that my children’s mother was attempting suicide, however he refused to help in any way, phoning me to tell me never to contact him again. Ironically, HE started phoning me when I left review of his services later last year. He promised he would represent me again and we would take things back to court. HOWEVER once I removed my google review he phoned to say he couldn’t represent me after all ! There is a lot more detail I could go into, but I think I paint a realistic enough picture that readers understand my experience with Giovanni Milan. Post script: he has lost most of my legal records and documents from my previous lawyers, yet claims no responsibility, and makes excuses as to what has occurred, mostly blaming me! Pretty sure the state bar view things differently.

I had a family law matter that seemed utterly hopeless and about 7 months ago I stumbled upon GKM Legal (specifically Giovanni Milan and Nachieli). He and Nachieli treated me and my situation with respect and seriousness. I was a pain in the rear end kind of client with a very tangled family legal situation where I was constantly contacting my attorney’s office with new information, questions, updates, etc. Nachieli was kind, patient, and professional from the very beginning and she never lost composure once. She always made sure that she or Giovanni got back to me in a reasonable period of time. What I really liked about Mr. Milan was that aside from my duties as a client, he handled the legal situation for me while keeping me in the loop about all developments as they occurred and told me what to expect in each step of the legal proceedings. He told me what needed to be done, how long it would likely take, how much it would likely cost, what the likely outcome would be, and how likely he was to achieve that outcome. Mr. Milan was extremely knowledgeable in the law and knew exactly what he was doing because he could predict the outcome of each step with uncanny accuracy. The most amazing thing to me now that my case is over was that he made a prediction of the likely outcome of my case at the beginning of it all 7 months ago. 7 months later, the outcome was almost exactly what he had predicted in the beginning. It was like Babe Ruth calling his shot right before he hit a home run. Mr. Milan is a straight shooter. He never made any grandiose claims of total victory in order to gain me as a client, instead he made sure I knew what I was getting into with my eyes wide open. Mr. Milan was able to out argue and outmaneuver opposing counsel every step of the way. Mr. Milan was able to coordinate my case for me in California while I am living in Washington. Coordinating a case telephonically / electronically is not impossible, but it does make an already tangled mess like mine even more complicated; Mr. Milan and Nachieli handled my situation flawlessly. GKM Legal fought for me and their prices are competitive, and billing is detailed so you know exactly what you are paying for. Mr. Milan was also always looking for ways to get my case handled while saving me money. Let me end by saying this, even if I had a losing case, I would hire Mr. Milan to help navigate that losing case because he is...
