Found myself in an unexpected, difficult life moment regarding my marriage. The topic of divorce was mentioned, and I was caught completely off guard. I was feeling very scared and insecure about not knowing what to do or who to talk to. I wanted to know where I stood legally, and what my potential options would be moving forward. I looked at a few different firms, then came across Pinkham & Associates. I decided to give them a call, and I am glad I did. After answering some brief questions, I then had the pleasure of speaking with Cathy Iles. Cathy was very compassionate, patient and understanding of my situation. She answered all of my questions and gave me a better understanding of my situation and what my rights were. She took the time out of her busy day to help me feel alot more secure and understanding, and for that, I am very grateful. I would recommend this firm without question.

Maxine fought hard for me and won at every single milestone. She will aim for the things that are beneficial in the long run and not let you get stuck in the useless emotional drama that comes along in divorce. Highly collective & calm, professional, tactical and combative when needed. She had the strength to go and fight a case in another county with a top notch opposing attorney who unfortunately was a pathological liar with no ethics or character, driven solely by the pursuit of money who unsuccessfully tried to separate me from my son for almost 3 years by utilizing every loophole of the family law. Although your business is mainly to dissolve unresolvable marriages, you provided me with real-life experiences and advises that made me reflect on my decision. My wife and I decided to seek help hoping to improve and make changes in our relationship in hopes to strengthen our bond not only for us but more importantly for our son. Being in a relationship especially having a handsome young son (the one that will be the most affected by our decisions) is probably one of the toughest life events everyone will encounter, however, in my humble opinion, it truly depends on each other's strong will, recognizing that sometimes we need guidance that can help us manage through tough life events. However, sometimes its just not meant to be, things do not work out and at that point, the focus becomes the best interest for our child. Divorce becomes unavoidable which in turn would not be fair for a child to experience living in a toxic environment. Our best course would be to divorce while continuing to properly guide, support and provide our son the best life possible for him to succeed. If divorce becomes our ultimate option, you are the ONLY one I will trust to handle the case as I strongly know you will handle the case on my best interest which, in my view, would be to protect the best interest of our child. Hired Maxine for a divorce lawyer at a "discounted rate" of $325. She started back in September 2020 until August 2021 when she withdrew from my case total fees where about $40K paid out to her. I am very displeased with her services. I paid for fees that she doesn’t deserve as she made me lose out on 30K for her incompetence and carelessness. She added fees for contacting me to discuss other fees. She will drag on the case, email you and call you to repeat the same conversation. Overall, she did not perform her duties as a lawyer and in my opinion she is very unprofessional, reckless, and non-communicative. Beware. Dont believe all these 5 star ratings - could be close friends and family.

Maxine is responsive, trustworthy, knowledeable, upfront, and gets the work done, unlike the other 3 attorneys I hired prior to her.
