You and Mike Goldstein were "God" sent help to my daughter and family through these most difficult times. The sincere care, empathy, and countless hours that you put into this case were remarkable. Especially all those late night calls every day of the week. Once the trial started you showed everyone the skill and passion you have when you represent a client you truly believe in. Starting with Jury selection you could see how experienced you were on connecting with those individuals who were going to decide my daughter's fate in life. How you recognized everyone in that jury box and began to question them with kindness was amazing. You can see the connection as you spoke to them. What's more amazing is your memory. You talked to them by only glancing at your notes. Clearly your preparation for this moment was incredible. Once the trial began and you started with your opening statement everyone in that courtroom was glued to your commanding presence. As you slowly walked around you told them about our case and would prove my daughter's Innocence. Your honesty on what a tragic case this was for both families was riveting for everyone to hear. Preparing those jurors, the judge, and everyone in that courtroom set the foundation for about what they were going to see and hear was a clinic on how to speak to people knowing that some very difficult information was about to come their way over the next 3 weeks. When you proceeded to do your cross examination or direct examination it was clear that your experience, kindness, passion, and ability to questions those individuals on the stand showed a professionalism unlike anything I have ever seen. You made it simple and concise for everyone to understand the points you were making. Even in the face of the prosecution who clearly stretched the truth when they were presenting their case you were able to rebut them in a professional and graceful manor. In your closing statement the passion and empathy you delivered was so genuine. Unfortunately, my daughter was found guilty by a jury of her peers. However, the judge in this case made a courageous decision by giving my daughter probation. This by all accounts was a very unique case. This case has made national attention due to the judge's decision. One positive that may come out of this is that you shed more light on the cannabis industry. This billion-dollar industry clearly wants this case to go away because it ruins their narrative on how wonderful this drug is for society. In reality how many more families must go through this lifetime of pain and suffering before society has a better understanding that this drug can produce horrible outcomes. That high tolerance users are far different from novice users. Think of how many decades it took through lawsuits and education that cigarettes are dangerous for your health and may cause cancer. How many years or decades will it take for the Cannabis industry to be held accountable! You and Mike shed a light on a serious problem in society. A light that people in certain industries want to keep off. 2 families have suffered greatly. I can never thank you enough for all you have done for my family and hopefully for society as well.
