Appreciate your work, thank you for helping me in my illegal eviction case 🙌🏽 we just won the court today!

Told them my landlord just broke the law regarding removing political posters, intimidating a disabled elderly tenant, and they said "landlords are bullies sometimes that happens". Then she gave me a phone number to report it somewhere else. She didn't help me write a demand letter or even give any advice other than "let the landlord break the law and remove your legal political poster". Literally also said "if he evicts you we can help otherwise we can't". So they wait until you are fully getting thrown out before they do anything. They aren't here to hold Landlords accountable to the law. That part seemed very clear. To be clear, California Code, Civil Code - CIV § 1940.4 protects tenants political signs and posters especially during an election season. This BASTA office either ignored that or didn't care. Either way. Donate to other non profits. Not this one.

Tried calling many times, left multiple messages. They never answer or call back. I tried the wilshire location and they picked up right away but they directed me to the van nuys location which is impossible to get in contact with.

you get what you pay for, comes to mind when thinking of BASTA not in it for the little guy. if you can avoid hiring this firm, do so, otherwise don't ask for anyone with the starting letter of "J"

Muy mal servicio sobre toda la Secretaría nunca me llamo siendo que el mismo abogado Daniel Bramzon le dijo que me hiciera una cita para ir con el abogado al día siguiente y nunca me llamo y cuando yo le llamé a la secretaria dijo que no tenía tiempo el abogado para mí que nunca estaba en la oficina que era un hombre muy ocupado yo iba a pagar por sus servicios no lo quería gratis y la mayoría de gente que va únicamente le dicen que no pueden ayudarle que están muy llenos de casos y me pregunto entonces porque están abiertos al público si están muy ocupados

I've been dealing with a landlord throughout the Covid-19 shutdowns. The staff and attorneys from Basta have been noting but helpful and courteous. It's good to know that there's still soo many people that care about tenants rights.

Everyone is very helpful, kind and honest. It is great to know that there are organizations like Basta that will help us, the individual tenants, if and when there is a need. Alexandria and Mike in the front of office are wonderful and friendly. Give them a call if your landlord is giving you trouble.

Words can’t explain how much gratitude we have for Basta attorneys especially for Irving. He took our case and helped us the whole way and made us feel comfortable about the everything.
