This was an empowering experience. I came to Iva having zero confidence and truly no idea of what I needed to do. It is because of Iva’s guidance and patience that she helped me navigate some pretty steep waters. I am so incredibly grateful to her for helping me keep my head above water. She was the consummate professional I needed with excellent leadership skills.

If I could give her a zero I would. She was appointed by the courts in our high conflict divorce. She recomended 50/50 custody even though there was past evidence of emotional abuse by my ex (the evidence was in file from before Amy was appointed but she refused to review past files). Since the 50/50 orders, my ex is not providing the medical care he was ordered to do. I have informed Amy of these issues and she will not answer my emails and is not attempting to help her clients, my children.

She’s compassionate, caring and empathetic. She understands the dynamics of high conflict cases. She helped me get full custody of my kids which I thought was impossible in Ventura County. I can’t imagine how my life would look without her help.

I had Amy Van Sickle assigned to my sons case during a messy custody trial. To where I felt hopless and scared that nothing would change for my son. I am being honest when I say she was the best thing that could of happened to my 4 year old. She was not my lawyer. She was his. And defended him well and only with his wellbeing in mind. Small boutique law firm specializing in Estate Planning and Family Law. Ms. Oza is conscientious, highly motivated, and actually listens to her clients. Other lawyers will just talk themselves up while she gets things done. She used to be a Public Defender so you know she can try a case. She turns away more cases than she accepts, but if she takes your case, she'll do a great job. I've co-tried several cases with Ms. Oza and have never worked with anyone more prepared than she is.

Called Amy 3 times she called back finally .. missed her called .. called three more times finally got z call from another atty. she flipped me to who no showed my appointment

Counsel Van Sickle is AMAZING!!! Counsel Van Sickle is straight forward and really goes to bat for her clients. I watched Counsel Van Sickle in court prior to retaining her. The judge very much respected Counsel Van Sickle. Counsel Van Sickle will not take advantage of you. Many attorneys use the emotional vulnerablity of their clients to their advantage to thicken their own pocket books. When I watched Counsel Van Sickle in court the opposing Counsel was unreasonable with the clients requests. It was obvious the opposing attorney allowed the client to believe they could win on matters they had zero chance of winning. The judge saw right through it. Counsel Van Sickle's client was awarded a more than fair result receiving more than they requested. If you are looking for an attorney to help you come to resolve and move on with your life while keeping your best interest at heart without breaking the bank Counsel Van Sickle is PERFECT!!!
