I cant thank Bill Haney enough he is by far the best attorney and Im so glad that i was fortunate enough to have him as my attorney. The Vta county DA wanted to give me 10 years for 16 felony's, 12 forgery cases and 1 conspiracy with a second degree commercial burglary charge and I'm a Striker and Bill got me off with 90 days in treatment and probation, He is patient kind compassionate, smart and will go above and beyond for his clients. I went to Mr. Haney office for consultation, he was honest with me about the case. He said he can not do much to help me out because i m in a really bad situation. I made a mistake hiring wrong attorney in the first place. I recommend Mr. Haney Jacob

Mr Bill Haney in one word...AMAZING!!! He was hired by us to defend two charges. One was a 422 case and the other was a DUI. Bill is one of the most intelligent, efficient, hard working and caring lawyers. Bill truly fights the fight for his clients. I highly recommend his services. Attorney Bill Haney was incredible. From the beginning, he was very willing to make time to help us understand the situation and all of our options. He was realistic with what he thought he could accomplish and did not make any empty promises. He was extremely thorough in his research and analysis of options, helpful and reassuring while realistic during the difficult and distressing times, and flexible in working with the specific needs of me and my family. Bill helped me in a very difficult time when the choices that I had been making with my life finally ended me up in jail, he consulted with me before I entered a rehab program and appeared with me at every one of my court dates throughout, without his help, expertise and compassion I would more than likely still be in and out of the system.

My son, who suffered from substance abuse, was twice convicted in Ventura, County, CA for violations related to his addiction. Mr Haney was recommended to us (my son's mother and I) by a mutual friend, a local investigator. Mr haney spent hours meeting with us, travelling to our community rather than making us travel to his office, and he diligently applied his extensive legal experience at all stages of the case, over a period of two years, most recently pleading successfully for early termination of my son's probation. He is still on the case as I write this, filing for expungement of the record on my son's behalf. We are extremely impressed with Mr Haneys' compassion, and we are very thankful for his legal skills and his familiarity with and his collegiality within our local court system. Attorney Bill Haney was exceptional. First of all, he was easy to reach and on the off chance I missed him, he was quick to respond. Second, he was thorough. He helped me with a domestic issue and his explanations of all sides really helped me to understand. Lastly, and perhaps most important, he was upfront. He gave everything to me in a straightforward, honest manner, without any agendas. He spoke to the DA's office and helped my case to rejection. He truly made a difficult time easier and I will contact him again if I ever need legal assistance.

My 18 year old son committed several very serious crimes and with irrefutable evidence against him we had zero bargaining power with the district attorney’s office while trying to reach a plea agreement. Before finding Bill Haney, I hired a team of two lawyers at great expense who worked on the case for six months and the best they could accomplish was an offer of 9 years in state prison. I don’t know if it was fate or a miracle but one day I was called to jury duty and was picked for a trial in which Bill was the defending attorney. As I watched his performance in the courtroom, I was in awe. He was so likable and believable that a person couldn’t help but agree with him and be on his side. Before hiring Bill, I did my research finding that Bill was a professor of law at Pepperdine University and a supervising attorney in the Ventura District Attorney’s office for more than two decades. Additionally, he was the go to attorney in Ventura county high profile cases. I thought, who better to understanding negotiating with the district attorney than someone who spent more than two decades in the office of the district attorney. Bill put together a 100+ page presentation for the district attorney and the judge making the argument that my son was redeemable and deserved a chance at rehabilitation. The judge agreed and miraculously allowed my son to serve just one year in jail, with no prison time, and two years drug rehabilitation. I have only one criticism of Bill and that is he doesn’t charge enough money for the level of skill he brings and the number of hours he worked under a flat fee agreement. He did extra things he didn't have to, that took many hours of his time, included several visits to my son at the jail and additional court dates to argue items that we understood had almost zero chance of succeeding. He said that he had to try everything even if it had little chance of success. Bill is an honest, fair and extremely talented lawyer. Hire him and I promise, you will not be disappointed.

A friend referred us to Bill Haney, and we feel very fortunate for that. Our son was charged with a misdemeanor. It was our first time having to go to court, and we were terrified. In our first meeting, Bill listened to our concerns and put us at ease. Bill told our son not to stress, and took care of everything. Bill has years of experience in the Ventura County court system, and that was a great advantage. He is familiar with all the judges, and he made the wisest decisions in working our way through the legal process. In the end, we had the best possible outcome, and the charge against our son was completely dismissed. If not for Bill, our son might have lost his drivers license and have a criminal record, or worse. I was so thankful that I felt compelled to write this review. William Haney was an incredible lawyer and was very personable and down to earth. He was understanding of situations and was amazing to watch work. He was able to reduce my Minor in Possession of Alcohol to a distruption of peace. He rarely ever handles these cases but handled it like it was the most important case he'd seen in a while.
