Unfortunately, I came to this conclusion too far along in my case to do anything about it. She expressed annoyance that I did not currently work and seemed to look down on me for it. Money was not an issue for me and it seems she sensed that. I’m currently investigating her billing practices for my case. No, I did not prevail and it has cost me a lot. I did not feel like she was on my side and I felt patronized by her in court. I have little confidence in these reviews. I did my homework and thought I was making the right choice by hiring her. I am totally disillusioned by the whole court process now.

Who does that? Her assistant at the time, a guy, showed up at court in her place. I was NOT informed nor did I approve. He wasn’t up to par with my case and the opposing attorneys railroaded him. I felt like a fool and the judge didn’t appear too pleased either. It was humiliating and disrespectful. How do you avoid hiring an attorney like this? How was I supposed to know?

I think I know who posted the 12/17/2017 review, and they didn't hire Carolyn Cain - I did. After years of having a do-nothing attorney for an incredibly complicated case and multiple attempts to wrest free of that one, Carolyn Cain took me on and within days Carolyn got me out of a serious fix and within months we were all caught up. I think the 12.17.17 reviewer actually wanted me to fail, and Carolyn definitely mucked up those plans!

I think that there are much more experienced attorneys available for hire in her field. She did not follow up with me. She did not answer salient questions I had. In the end, she dropped the ball most every single time. Further, her answers to questions were very insufficient and caused me to have to ask same questions over and over. I do not recommend.

I was not impressed with the work Carolyn did for me. She cost me a lot more money than I could afford. Didn't get much done in the way of settling matters. She actually stirred up more problems and the opposing side ended up taking me to the cleaners. She thought she could outsmart them and they called her out and it just made things worse for me in the long run. I would not reccomend her unless you want someone with shady practices working for you

I have to wonder if some of these negative reviews are people that were opposing parties of this attorney. I have used her help in many matters and have found her to effective, logical, friendly, easy to understand and caring. Not to mention she wins! She is one of those attorneys that tell you your options and don't offer you outlandish and expensive options that she cannot deliver on. She tells you like it is and then gives you results. She is worth every penny and I've never felt like she overcharged since she is one of the best around.

I hired Carolyn Cain after having a consultation with her and discussing my case. I was told that it was an open and shut case and should only require a couple hearings. Made me feel good about hiring her. Well here it is 3 years later and im still going to court over these unresolved issues. I have had to file to have her removed as my attorney and decided it was time to find a new one that can get these issues closed up. I have paid out a lot of money for her time on this case with very little results.

We have had many probate matters with Attorney Cain and she has been great in every one! She really knows her stuff and anything she doesn't remember off the top of her head she is great at finding the actual code sections explaining it. She also answers all of my silly questions (some multiple times!) and is not arrogant or condescending when explaining things I need to know! She works hard for Conservatees, she is great with probate accountings and she returns phone calls promptly!

Carolyn Cain is not only extraordinarily smart, she is extremely compassionate. She excels at both written and verbal communication and has a tremendous amount of legal knowledge. Carolyn is not afraid to be honest about the pros and cons of a respective case, and she is also fosters a collaborative relationship with her clients. She replies quickly and efficiently to all requests for case status updates, whether it be in person or on phone, or via email or letters. If you retain her, she will keep you abreast of any upcoming deadlines, and assist you in completing any required forms. She is organized and she researches matters thoroughly. She takes her time explaining what is expected of me, and is always open to listen to my suggestions and endless questions. Carolyn has represented me on numerous Probate matters, and I am thrilled at her level of expertise. When she represents me I know that I will supported by someone who has many years of experience, and that whatever the outcome of the case, I will have done the best job that I can do because she was my attorney. I would not hesitate to refer Carolyn Cain to anyone who is seeking an excellent Probate of Family Law attorney.

I just don't feel this woman really knew what she was doing in probate court. . Her profile says 100 percent family law, yet she gets appointed to represent in probate court over issues that have completely different rules than family court. Thus preventing me as a client from getting the proper representation I should have had. She wasn't familiar with a lot of the rules and codes that are to be followed in probate court. Didn't understand the true meaning of a referal by the court. She wasn't reasonable and wouldn't try to work anything out with the other party' unless it was her way and by her guidelines.

I used Carolyn as my divorce attorney, she explained the court process to me in a clear and comprehensible way. Carolyn is always prepared and consistently reassured me throughout the divorce. My ex-husband would not settle on many issues and we had to go to trial and court several times. My ex-husband's attorney was unprepared and like my ex, made the process very difficult and drag on. Each time we went to court, the judge ruled in my favor. She will try to settle your case but is well prepared if you need to go to trial. She stood up to my ex and his council despite both strongly disliking her. No doubt some of the reviews posted on this site are written by a disgruntled opponent or their indignant client. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Carolyn Cain's services as a dissolution attorney.
