Nordic Star helped my family and I to keep our home. They were very professional and always available. I worked with another law firm just before reaching our to Mr. Van Parys and they were not nearly as attentive or available. After wasting a lot of time and money, we reached out to Nordic Star and we are so happy that we did. They were able to help us reach a settlement with our mortgage company and we are pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Nordic Star to anyone.

My particular situation was an ongoing 3 year battle... Nick is not only a great lawyer but his compassion with his clients and dedication to his work is what sets him aside from the rest... I call him my Miracle Worker because in winning the bank, we were going to need a miracle.. It took 3 years and there was a lot of hard work and tears, no matter the day or time, Nick was available and if not Nick, his wonderful assistant Thuy was always very responsive. I had a lot of bad days and Nick always assured me he was doing everything he could and to trust in him and so I did and in the end it was all worth it.. Not only did Nick save my home by winning the unthinkable (the bank) but thru it all we've built a friendship. I'm not one to write reviews but in this particular circumstance, I felt compelled too, I want everyone to know, Nick is truly worth the review. Consider him, if ever needed...

I called Nick when we got a Notice of Default and he was very helpful in giving direction. We then went to see him and he spent over an hour with us, outlining our options of what to do next. He said to call him with any questions we had, whether we decided to use him or not, and I did email him with questions a few days later. He was again quite helpful. In the end, we were able to make up back payments and did not need his services (which he advised us to do if we had the funds, rather than go to court), but I would not hesitate to recommend him if you need a good and honest attorney. I hired this attorney a while back after being caught shoplifting. I was a little weary about spending so much on legal advice, but I was talked into it when I was told my charges were simple and they would be reduced, most likely even dismissed without going to trial. I was sure to mention that I could not go to trial because I couldn't afford it during my consultation and I was still assured of a positive outcome for my case. After hearing this I had no problem retaining this attorney, however he did not deliver. I understand that attorneys don't work miracles, but this attorney made my case seem like something simple and that retaining his office was the right choice. I ended up pleading no contest and accepting the charges, I was given a choice between a fine or a few days in jail. I took the jail time because I wasted all my money retaining an attorney who didn't do anything. I hope someone finds this review helpful and it stops them from retaining this law firm.
