Worse attorney ever. How can a labor attorney defend a criminal case ? Makes no attempt to help you nor bothers to keep you informed of your case. Sits in court agreeing with the DA and not defending you. You are not treated as a person but a case to get over with and filed away. Get anyone else but Carlos

Very friendly staff an always there to help with questions u may have. Also very understanding when u need time to sort things out or heal from your injuries.

I am a retired law enforcement officer from California. I served the people of California for 23 years. The day after my 50th birthday, when I became eligible to retire, my now, ex-wife had me arrested for domestic violence. She had been secretly recording our verbal arguments for 2+ years. I spent 2.5 years in jail and prison after taking my case to trial. Attorney Chris Carlos charged me 30K to go to trial. He refused to talk to me by telephone while I was incarcerated, and had asked me to write him letters, which he rarely responded to. He refused to request a change of venue to move the trial from the small county I was charged in, and worked in, for 14 years. He stated that he did not know the prosecutor trying my case, failing to tell me that he had served as the neighboring county’s deputy district attorney. He pressured me out of having my children testify in trial, which would have cleared my name. One week before trial, he had not contacted any of my character witnesses until I begged him to do so. He had told me, “It will be your word against hers.” He failed to put any effort into this case. There is so much more. I highly do not recommend attorney Chris Carlos.

I have used Mark Doughty since 2000 and he has assisted me with legal services on two non profit organizations and has always given me legal advise through the years. He has truly been a blessing. I have also referred him clients and he has taken good care of them. I highly recommend Mark and his team!

Mark Doughty is apparently is "too old" and has "medical issues" that don't allow him to take a case to court. To be fair, we were told this up front. What we didn't count on was this coming into play in our settlement. The insurance company knew this, and low balled our case. Then proceeded to laugh at us when Mark Doughty's office asked for more money by raising their offer by $1. They knew he would not take it to court, and thus we were left without option. He tried to pass us off to another lawyer who told us to file a small claims suit against the driver, but Mark Doughty insisted that was a bad idea... and dropped us. Now, so much time has passed... no lawyer will take the case. STAY AWAY from Mark Doughty.
