I went through a terrible interstate divorce during COVID. Initially, I worked with one of the partners, who did not seem to be very good at this particular type of law. The lawyers were all very busy--and I guess I was not important enough. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of COVID. Many things were delayed as we waited for court to open back up. It was then carried out virtually. The child expert that was suggested, never visited me or my child in person, but did visit my ex-husband and his parents. No one pushed any of these issues, aside from myself, as I fought to maintain any say in the outcome of my son's future. Again, COVID. I was then handed off to another lawyer within the firm, who was clearly handling all of their divorce cases. The worst was after the decisions were made to conclude the situation, I was at a restaurant sitting next to the lawyer that represented me and she didn't know who i was. I would think after spending so much time, energy, emotion, and money, that at least that would never happen. I went from being my child's full-time "super" parent to the court ruling he should begin living with his father so that he could go to a Colorado school. I am disappointed in Boulder County, the lawyers, and the way things were handled throughout the process. I did not receive fair representation. I have since quit my job to move back to Colorado so that I can be with my son, which my ex-husband was eagerly willing to give up. I am now no longer allowed to have any decision on whether my son can attend the private school he was previously enrolled. The QDRO required for division of retirement funds has been in process for over 9 months. I have had to continue, post-divorce, to be diligent in following up with them to ensure its completion. As a successful business owner, I would never recommend this law firm to anyone that is going through a divorce.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Burnham Law. Their team is top notch and the best I've found. Jennifer Scott is an incredible lawyer who is passionate, genuine, dedicated, caring and goes the extra mile for her clients. We've worked with her over the past few years and would do it again in a heartbeat. She has a wonderful team supporting her. I just finished up a case with Burnham law. This is a great firm with great talent. Aaron Belzner and Ashlee Hoffman are whom you want to represent you in a litigation. I cannot thank my team enough for the work. Jared West a new attorney with the firm also helped out and is knowledgeable. The legal assistants were great Elizabeth played a great role. Keep in mind litigation is not cheap by any firm, however I do believe the billing was fair and straightforward. Thank you Mr. Burnham for the excellent attorneys and care. I do believe a good organization starts from the top. If you are at your wits end give them the chance to earn your business

Hiring Burnham to represent me in my divorce was a horrible mistake! They cared more about getting money for themselves than they did about providing adequate legal representation. When I requested fee arbitration, as was agreed upon in our legal agreement, they doubled my legal fees, tried to manipulate the legal system to gather more $ for themselves. Too bad they couldn’t put that energy into representing me in my divorce case.

I hired Jennifer Scott and it was one of the best decision of my life! She was able to pull a hail mary. I wish I could have recorded her closing argument. She said everything I wanted to say and more. She gave my daughter's and I a voice to be heard and justice was served! Jennifer is an extraordinarily talented individual who I believe has found her true calling. I don't even think she's peaked yet in her career. If you hire Jennifer Scott she will not let you down. She is fierce!
