After an accidental brush with a bicyclist in Boulder I found myself with a Hit and Run ticket that could be very serious. After speaking with other attorneys about the case, I knew the moment that I met Atty. Watkins, that she was the one! She has an incredible talent for feeling the anxiety of her clients, putting herself in their place, and being an excellent researcher into all aspects of the case. Atty. Watkins kept in close touch with me all through the process, and the frequent updates were very reassuring. I had a great court outcome, removing the DUI, and highly appreciate her both as a person and as a talented and very effective Attorney. I really recommend Atty. After moving to Colorado from Florida, I found myself in a bind when I was charged with a DUI of a high BAC (over .2). I had never been criminally charged before, and I didn't really know where to turn. As many of you reading these reviews did, I contacted 10+ attorneys that would represent me in Weld County. The majority of them seemed as if they were more interested in money rather than my individual case or well being. It took one conversation with Jennifer to know that I was going to retain her as my representation. She was straight forward with what I could likely expect as the outcome of my case, and she was comforting every step of the way. It is quite apparent that she is well respected throughout the area by both judges and DAs. After retaining her, she recommended a list of things to begin (character witness statements, Level II Alcohol Education, etc) that would help my appearance in front of the judge and to the DA. Ultimately, Jennifer was able to negotiate a plea deal with the DA that would give me the minimum sentencing as required by law - despite him originally wanting me to spend a month in jail. The judge, with Jennifer's help, also suspended court fees and gave me the minimum requirements by Colorado law in terms of probation and useful public service. I would highly recommend Jennifer for any situation that you may find yourself in that requires legal representation. While I don't ever expect to find myself needing it again, she will be the first and only attorney I will contact if I do.
