E-2 Visa Review I thought about leaving this review for a long time. Spent several thousand dollars in lawyer fees to file for the E-2 Visa, a lot of time under the guidance of Lisa, and 100+ hours spent working on the business side of the visa prep. After my partner was denied (practically laughed at during the interview) - I spoke with a few other attorneys - some in Colorado and one from Colombia/NYC - to see if re-filing made sense. Seems like we had a very weak case that was originally filed with the help of Lisa. I brought this up, but it was denied. I chose not to pursue it further, as I viewed it not worth my time. If I did the E-2 Visa again, I would have consulted someone who was more familiar with the country I was trying to get a visa from... someone who had successfully filed and had approved E-2 visas from our specific country where we were applying. I think the extra couple thousand dollars would have been well spent to get additional consultation and possibly avoid a denial. As I learned after the fact... spending another couple thousand dollars to ensure the most valuable asset, time, had a lesser likelihood of being wasted is probably a wise decision.
