I met Jim at a Chamber of Commerce networking event. I mentioned that I had never filed any paperwork to become an LLC or a corporation. We met a few days later at his office to talk about business entity selection. After asking me about my business in-depth, he explained to me why he believed I should register my business as an LLC and then file paperwork with the IRS to elect for status as an S-Corp.
