I hired Katie for my child custody case and she was nothing short of amazing throughout the entire process. She kept me informed and in the loop through each step from opposing counsel emails to letting me know when our work was filed. She listened to my concerns and did her very best to vouch for me. Katie went the extra mile in assuring I was prepared for trial by reviewing questions I would be asked in court and even took time outside of office hours to do so. She was honest and open about her rates, there was never a surprise in charges, and also tried to help me save money when she could. When you have an attorney it’s easy to say I want this and that and expect things to go your way, but Katie made sure I was informed if something was unlikely and gave me recommendations on what I could do differently. Katie has been a Godsend to me! In the beginning, I was hoping that the situation with my baby's dad wouldn't get to the point where I'd need to go to court, but unfortunately it did. I wouldn't have gotten through this hard time without the help and assistance from Katie. From day one, when we had our first consultation she was very comforting and just had a genuine way about her. I had consulted with two lawyers before her and they left me feeling defeated and as if what I was asking for in the case and expecting from the court was unreasonable. I hired Kathryn Tolison and her team to help me with my Divorce. The team was very professional, knowledgeable, compassionate during this difficult process. Kathryn and her paralegal Cindy took the time to explain each step, option, and possible obstacles along the way. If she was unavailable, her paralegal Cindy was there to ease my mind as I naturally would get worried or anxious. I dealt with a pretty difficult divorce and child custody case. Katie was a great source of comfort and in my opinion very level headed and concise in how she handled my case. I did not always agree with Katie but she did listen to my concerns and always had a clear vision for how she wanted to proceed. Overall her instinct was right on track. I am thankful for her hard work and how she helped protect my sons and I from a bad situation.
