I wrote a previous review in which I deleted but I'm writing again because to me this is inexcusable. My review is for Casey and has nothing to do with Katherine. Long story short, all of my siblings and I receive a trust when we turn 21. Casey has handled all of our cases and with my siblings she completed their cases within 1 to 2 weeks tops. For whatever reason, since I have first contacted her to now it's been almost 2 months. Every time we have any form of contact (email or phone) she tells me in short that she just has to do this or that. Again, I will contact her a week or so later. Tells me exactly what she told me the week before but different wording. This happens over and over and over. I feel she has not treated my case with any respect or professionalism. For me, it's fine if something is going to take a little longer but what's not fine is every time I talk with her, she lies and says she's done whatever she was supposed to do and yet she still hasn't! I even showed some friends/family our emails to make sure I wasn't blowing this out of proportion. Every single person agreed with me. I'm just to the point where my mind is blown. I'll come and write an update for when I actually will receive my fund(if I ever do).

This review is for Katherine Tolison only. I have used Casey Williams for other family matters and she was great. I would highly recommend Casey. Now for Tolison. I called the office and asked for an appointment. I was routed to her paralegal and left a message. I didn't receive a return call so I figured the ex had hired her. Then I got paperwork from the ex's attorney and figured out she did not hire Tolison. So I stopped by the office and asked for a consult. I was asked to come back two hours later. I received my consult and agreed to retain Tolison for the upcoming mediation. She told me she would hold the mediation date on her calendar for a week and I was to get my $1500 retainer paid. The next day I dropped it off. About a week later her office manager called and told me he would be emailing me a retainer agreement. He didn't. Mediation day came and I found myself alone. My phone call to their office resulted in being told I had not followed through with what I was told to do but Katy could appear by phone until she arrived. I declined and handled the mediation alone. A couple days later, I stopped by the office to pickup the retainer. The paralegal told me I was not charged for the consultation because of them dropping the ball and I was directed to a sealed envelope on the desk. I opened the envelope there and found the refund check was only $725. They had only credited me a $1000 retainer then took the consultation fee of $275 out. I pointed out being shorted $500 and another check was wrote. I'm sure had I left with the shorted check it would have been hell to get the other $500. Again this is my experience with Katy and should not reflect on Casey.

Kathryn (Katie) Tolison’s strength is in her knowledge and experience in family law. She presented an excellent critical analysis of my case and made appropriate and ultimately successful, recommendations to provide for the best t interest of my children. Katie is patient, focused and took the time to explain processes and strategy to me. Her entire staff became like family during the time we worked together. I felt they were all supportive and willing to help me with any small detail. During periods of high stress, Katie’s calm demeanor provided stability and helped me cut through the intense emotions and focus on the critical elements of my case. I highly recommend Katie and her firm to anyone in need of family or estate legal counsel and representation. Throughout the complexity of a high conflict divorce and interstate judicial issues Katie maintained the highest level of professionalism and ethics. She worked well with my other attorney in my state of residence to work through the difficult interstate issues. I would hire Katie again if I ever need family representation.

Best attorney that I have every had, She responds to emails during non business hours, doesn't do unnecessary work to get paid more, and is always straight forward and objective. I would highly recommend this attorney.

My dad always told me to have 2 good things in your life, a good mechanic, and a good lawyer! If anyone reading this can point me to a mechanic I sure could use your help there. I use Katie for all my family legal needs, and if your like I am, with a crazy X you have to have it. Responsive, listens, and tries her very best to do what you ask her to do, which is really why I love her so much. I am generally terrible at taking anyone's advice, but, I never go wrong listening to Katie Tolison! Thanks!

Katie Tolison and her staff are a superb team! I would recommend them to anyone dealing with a family law matter. She and her staff handled my very complicated divorce with the highest level of professionalism. They are the absolute best!

I have been working with Katie for the past few years in a very complicated family situation. Katie not only walked me through each step but took the time to explain what needed to happen and how it needed to happen so that there were no surprises along the way. Katie and her entire staff have always been very kind and treated my case with sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism. When you have never had to hire an attorney, trying to find one can be a bit daunting. Not knowing how to go about it, I decided to just go on line. I literally looked at pictures on Google and picked Katie. She looked confident, strong, capable, professional and kind. My decision to hire her was everything I had expected…and more. I would highly recommend Katie Tolison. She was steadfast and diligent with my situation and she made me feel like I was her top priority. Cindy, her paralegal was also very thorough and committed to my case. I never felt like I was being charged unfairly. She was reasonable with charges and suggested ways to cut unnecessary expenses.I never felt in the dark or unsure of what was going on. Ms. Tolison was fabulous to work with and truly went out of her way to help me and my family. Ms. Tolison never "left work at work" and I frequently received emails from her in the middle of the night or on weekends, which showed me she was 100% dedicated to my case. Ms. Tolison is always quick to respond and I never felt like just another dollar going into her pocket. She truly cared about me and the outcome of my situation and I would whole-heartedly recommend her to any one of my friends or family members. Not only was she wonderful, but her staff and paralegal, Cindy were also very friendly and helpful throught the whole process.

I would not recommend Katie Tolison. I was charge $225.00 to meet with her at her house. Her husband explained bundled and unbundled in about 60 seconds, Katie never went over it with me. I know understand the meaning. Being someone who was vulnerable recommended by one of my best friends I trusted Katie. She helped me fill out my sworn financial statement in her home for $875 I got charged for every minute I would call for help. I would recommend an Marianne Gordon or anyone else that is more organized and doesn't have their husband running the show when he is not an attorney. I feel now 2 years later I am still paying for hiring Katies mistakes, bad advise and misrepresentation.

Katie Tolison represented me in a family matter and did a remarkable job. She was available, professional and empathetic to my situation. She continued to work a round the clock to make sure that the situation was dealt with and that I was vindicated. I would recommend her services to anyone who needs an authentic and intelligent person in your corner.
