We never want to need an attorney and yet, we find ourselves in situations that change our lives in an instant. Having gotten sideways with the law, I was lucky enough to find Michael Kossen. His experience and accessibility during the maelstrom of my case helped me cope with the uncertainty and got me the minimum possible sentencing. I got a Dui in Douglas County. After calling a couple other lawyers I decided on Mike Kossen. He treated me respectfully, which is not always how you feel in these types of cases as the courts can be pretty tough. I completed all my requirements for my DUI, and was still on probation. I went to Florida to visit my mom. I borrowed her car and got a ticket for speeding. Under any normal situation it would have been a no biggie, however, I am suppose to have a breathalyzer in my car or my license is not active. Needless to say I got a huge ticket, and a court date for driving without a license. Mike was able to work with the DA and get the charges in Florida dropped! He then proceeded to petition the court for early release from probation. The judge originally said I could be released after 1 year. My probation officer tried after 13 months and I was denied. I got a call from Mike 2 weeks later that I had been granted early release from probation. Its hard when you are in the court system, its not a friendly place to be, and yes sometimes we are making a one time mistake. I would recommend Mike to anyone I know! He kept me sane while going thru this process and he always guided me the best way!

Michael Kossen is an outstanding attorney. When my son got into very serious trouble in Colorado, I searched desperately for the best attorney I could find. From my very first phone conversation with Mr. Kossen, I understood that he is very quick. He grasped the situation completely, and immediately went to work to resolve the matter. Thanks to Mr. Kossen's efforts, my son received probation in a case that could have resulted in more than 50 years in prison. I could not be more pleased with the way he handled my son's case. Mr. Kossen is very smart, conscientious, empathetic but tough, he keeps in touch, and discusses issues fully. Although I know he has many time-consuming cases, I never felt that my son's case was in any way put on the back burner or ignored. Another very nice aspect of Mr. Kossen's firm is his fee arrangement: it is very fair, and there are no surprises. I want to point out that my son is as happy with Mr. Kossen's representation as I am. I highly recommend Mr. Kossen to anyone who may find himself in trouble.

If your reading reviews, you very likely need an Attorney, look no further. Mike is your man! Mike made me feel comfortable from the minute we met. (I'm sure he will you too.) He was up front on our approach and the possible out come. The case was set for trial and Mike showed up ready for action, he had obviously done several hours of pre-prep home work. Most Attorneys are going to show up and just hope to plea bargin your charges down to something of a lesser offense. NOT MIKE, He was ready to DEFEND me. My charges... Speeding 20 miles per hour over, following to closely and unsafe lane change. Mike came out of the court room 10 minutes before the trial was set to begin and had a piece of paper in hand and a big smile. HE GOT THE WHOLE CASE DISMISSED! Mike knows the Judges, DA's and the Officers that most likely got you there. It's not always what you know but who you know. You won't be disappointed if you choose Mike!
