Marc Carlson was very clear and concise  in his presentation. He spent a lot of time with us to make sure we understood all the terms and ins and outs of wills and estates to make sure we chose the best option for our situation. He was also very gracious in working us in to his schedule when we were up against a deadline. And all of this within a reasonable price.

I found Marc because he came highly recommended by two different people in my Bible study, one of which works for him part-time, and word of mouth is always best. They were exactly right. Marc is spectacular to work with! He is thorough, knowledgable, and *very good* at client education. He helped us get our affairs in order, something that we've been putting off for far too long, and something that is absolutely essential when you have children. I have peace of mind that the plan is clear for our kids, should anything happen to us. When he is not available by phone, he returns calls in a timely way. He has been a friend and true Christian neighbor, not just a lawyer. With deep gratitude, I highly recommend him.

I come from a profession where the rank of 5 stars was abandoned years ago. And while George Marshall has long been a personal hero and I once watched Omar Bradley's burial at Arlington in 1981, I have never met a 5 star General. Still...I get it. a 5 star spread has been deemed necessary in our society to gauge anything from poor performance to excellence. I can tell you that if the reader needs a lawyer who can navigate his way through a tax code that appears to have been written in the Ming Dynasty, Carlson is your man. Look: death and taxes are a certainty. At some point we all look to our survivors with the hope that they don't get hammered with death duties. This guy know what he is doing. Another general (General Mike Hayden) recently wrote a book titled PLAY TO THE EDGE, His point was/is that you push to the point that you get chalk marks on your shoe tops. While Hayden only got 4 stars, he has a point. Our tax code is complicated and we all need someone who can play us to the edge while remaining legal. In our view, Marc Carlson has earned his 5 stars.

My husband and I knew we needed to put a living trust in place but had no idea what that entailed. We searched for someone local in Longmont and quickly learned that Marc Carlson was well respected and highly rated. After our initial consultation we were confident we found the right guy. We were not disappointed! Marc systematically walked us through every step of the process. He explained the pros and cons for every decision we made. He clearly laid out our options and made recommendations when we requested. He patiently worked through some unique and somewhat complicated situations we wanted to address in our living trust. Marc Carlson of Carlson Law Office helped my husband and I update our estate planning. He was thorough in explaining the differences between a will and a living trust. He also presented various scenarios of future events that we hadn't thought of, which made our estate decisions easier. Marc was pleasant to work with and gave us time to make important decisions.

We had a separate will for both my wife and I for many, many years. The wills had virtually no details about how our estate should be handled. We made an appointment with Marc who showed us the benefits of a living trust including how to avoid probate, how to eliminate or reduce taxes, how to provide for disability, and how to protect our children and grandchildren. He showed us how a trust covers all the details of handling an estate. Marc Carlson of Carlson Law Office provided a great service for us. Marc prepared a Revocable Living Trust for our family and he did a great job of explaining and outlining the provisions of the trust and how it all worked. He offered many different suggestions as to how to best structure the document and spent a lot of time making sure we understood how it all worked and what our options were.
